I haven't written all that many reviews before, so I will make this short and simple.
Feudal Japan, assassins and ninja's all over the place, nothing groundbreaking there.
Ninja meets random girl, girl ask for protection. They meet other assassins and ninja's along the way, things happening, people fight(obviously).

The story itself seemed to have some potential throughout the first episode at least, but then I just felt like everything was going downhill.
Personally, I don't feel like the creators put much work into the story at all, as everything feels like something they had to rush through in order to make it into the 12 episodes now ... available.

Art: It's a style I don't really mind, it's smooth and well made.

Sound: same. As long as you find a decent version either online or through fansubs, the audio is quite good.

Characters: now, I just wanna say that random is random. The main leads had something to offer, or at least I felt like they had at first. If you are a fan of a group of "originals" gathering, each who feel like they almost radiate stupidity, then this is most likely something you would enjoy.

Enjoyment: I finished this series in 2 days, just so I could be done with it. I don't like skipping a series unless it is really, really bad, and this wasn't the worst I've seen.
The plot had potential, the characters looked interesting, and every episode keeps you on a cliffhanger until the next episode, making you wanna see what happens next. Even so, the whole concept is something we've all seen so many times before.
Hidden powers, betrayal, and OP villains, you've all been there.

Overall: I found it to be a "ok" show. There was nothing extraordinary about it which made it stand out. I do hope for a 2nd season however, in hope for some character development etc.

Highschool of the Dead. where should I start.
A small group of what you can call induviduals in several ways experience
that zombies is attacking worldwide and now also their school.

Most of the characters allready know each other from childhood etc etc, the standard stuff. They are forced to leave the school in order to try and survive in the city the used to live in.

This story got it's share of the ecchi genre, as well as attempts at lightening up the wiewers with some "fitting" scenarios as the series goes on,
embarassing moments and so on.

Most people have seen the zombie movies where they take over the ... world and protaganists try to survive the way they can while you also get a glimse from maybe those that made it happend, or somewhat in that direction anyway.
well, this anime look at the common person's way of seeing this happend and trying to survive instead. Everything from mindfreaking scenes to people exploiting this for a eventual benefit in many ways.

There is "one" thing I still react to though,and that's how the main characters,mostly, never loose their sanity to where it would look like they actually have a hard time killing "zombies" of all things.

well, anyway. generally, I would say that is is really a must-see for those into the genres shown. It puts you out a little as how the show seems to speed up, only to slow back to for some serius talks and tactical plannings. must see in my opinion. even though I have yet to finish it myself.
