It is disrespectful to compare this anime to swords art online. This story does have similar patterns as it but it actually has a good story.
Spoilers:
A man brought into a world so happy and excited. About to begin his life with his new wifu but end up being betrayed as well being blamed later on for every cause of destruction, which all of them are false of course!
He loses hope in mankind and buys a slave but actually becomes his companion and he slowly learns to trust again.
The heroin, of course, has an edgy personality well because he was accused of killing, assaulting, ... kidnapping and much more. He has so much pumped up anger that. His own shield overwhelms him but of course, with the help of his companions he gets through it.
In the end, he gets justice which is worth seeing all the ignorance in the other heroes and that painful evil older princess.
My little brother recommended this anime to me and i haven't felt this way about an anime in a long time. When I finished the series I felt empty
The story is amazing. 100% recommends this anime
The heroin has a pure heart and in his heart, he always has to save lives even though he doesn't know why he wants to save them. It's just in his blood

The story was nice and I enjoyed watching it but there needs to be a season two because there are so many unanswered questioned. here are couple

Why did Ashiya have that mysterious power in episode 5? When fluffy got hurt by something and in Ashyia something ticked?

Why is his name Ashyia? It is a Yokai name after all in this anime?

Where is Ashyia's dad?

Why did Abeno's master accept him?

... Overall why did Ashyia have that power?

If there ould be a season two, I would like to see them answer all these questions or some of them

But a very nice anime just needs to answer all these questions
