Really now? I thought she had the strongest personality out of all the girls, since basically all everyone else cared about was eating cakes and going on vacations (with the exception of Mio, occasionally). Plus, her twintails just scream moe.
Nah I've just watched a lot of anime, lol, so I get discouraged when something so...bleh...is released. That and it's really hard to review a show like that and not go super sarcastic about it.
Honestly there doesn't seem to be a lot of shoujo ai shows, let along good ones. There are definitely plenty of "yuri goggle" type shows, but they don't really explore it in any way enough for me to really consider them. If you want some shows like that, those are easy enough to find, and I can suggest some of those, too.
Glad you liked the review! I don't watch a ton of shoujo ai, since a lot of it is kind of in the vein of Strawberry Panic. I don't know about matching the tone of the two shows you mentioned, both of which were pretty good, but I can give you a list of shows with shoujo-ai elements that I think are worth a look. Some of them are better than others, but here goes:
Simoun, Marimite, Cardcaptor Sakura, Candy Boy, Haibane Renmei has a bit of the girls love in it. I'm sure there are others, but I'm having trouble thinking about what they are the moment. Hope this helps!
