Both animes take a very special amount of care to do interesting effects with light. Both are also trashy 80s action animes, although Golgo 13 is based in the real world whereas Ai City involves lots of psychic powers.

If you liked Cyber City Oedo 808 add

...then you might like Midnight Eye: Gokuu add

Midnight Eye Goku 1 & 2 are pretty much an extra couple of a bit less good episodes of Cyber City. Both have similar 80s visual flair. Similar action. Similar corrupt cyberpunk world. Similar trashiness. Cyber city has more swearing and absolutely must be watched as the english dub, and ideally with the UK's metal based soundtrack.

...then you might like Golgo 13 add

Black Jack is like the Golgo 13 of the surgery world. A pro amongst pros. Too cool. Well, he isn't too cool, but they definitely try to make him too cool with a bunch of things like a cape, the way he doesn't answer his phone and how he is a bit of a rogue coz he's unlicensed. These two titles are similar in the sense that they're both pretty trashy viewing, which I kinda love. Plenty to make fun of in both. Golgo 13 is an actually excellent film whereas Black Jack is okay but fun with a friend.
