I kinda have to agree with you on Lord El Melloi. I understand one would have to know FSN beyond just anime, but still, the presentation and story structure could go along much better. That being said, it’s more persay bad....just pretty subpar.

Your El-Melloi review is retarded in the sense that you claim everything but said anime and F/Z are the main storyline. This is objectively false, as both Zero and El-Melloi are spinoffs. Fate/stay night is the main storyline, this includes the Fate, UBW, and Heavens Feel routes. I will state it again- Zero is not the main storyline. It is THE SPINOFF.

There's a very huge flaw in your review of Lord El-melloi that stems from clearly misunderstanding the anime's intent. After misrepresenting the anime's use of the cases in the first half as setup for the Rail Zeppelin arc in the first paragraph with an uninformed strawman, you go on to say the anime's problem is it's doing something it isn't trying to do and blame it for doing what it is doing (which is setup).
I know it's not easy to understand this without context surrounding its production but it's pretty obvious so I find ignorant conclusions misinformative. Guess I'll have to explain it in case you misled the anime onlies if no-one else is gonna do it.

Was going to write a review for Lord El-Melloi but your review saved me some time. If they'd set some universe rules up so we could say "oshit you cant do that," or anything where we could follow the mystery with them it'd be a lot more enjoyable.

The idea is absolutely genius and the first episode felt like a historic pilot

Accurate review for Lord El-Melloi. I still find the show somewhat entertaining to watch but what you said is definitely true.
