Yeah man definitely loved the movie. The nihilistic tone and grim themes really stood out with a compelling conclusion. It might actually be my favorite movie of all time, besides the Matrix and LotR trilogies.

Sword Art Offline a 3? Damn, that's generous as fuck. I couldn't even finish that piece of work.

Honestly, I have no idea either man. I guess it's classified as anime in Japan? Very strange.

The End of Evangelion in your favs too I see. That was such a fantastic movie. WAY better than Neon Genesis Evangelion's final 2 episodes.

...And so was your comment haha, damn I'm dumb. The struggles of quickly reading through stuff.

Nice tastes as well dude. That affinity rate tho.

My point was that I take into account the ratings I've given to shows that are of the same genre as the show that I'm about to rate and use them as the base reference point for the new rating . Put simply, would the show rating be unfair towards the shows I've seen given that they can be compared (same genre).
I was wondering if you used a simmilar principle since we have such a high affinity.
The result would be a dynamic score shifting list that filters ratings within the genre and the preference can be seen through average rating of that genre. So if my list has a ton of ecchi shows that I deem generic and forgettable and I rate those shows with a score of 3, ecchi shows that I rate with 7 would be actually great shows although the rating seems far from a masterpiece that is 10. When I compare a genre that I usually dislike (lets say ecchi) and one that I like (Fantasy), a rating of 7 would represent a whole different meaning even though the score is the same.
Sorry for the long reply, what I wrote above is just one of the metrics that I factor into rating. Needless to say, overall quality and specific moments of brilliance/disappointment carry a large weight regardless of the genre~

Yeah I tend to change my scores over time too, new experience leads to a new perspective~
Do you also rate titles within their respective genre? I guess I can still cross-reference overall quality the given score represents but same rating does not necessarily equal the same affection when comparing different genres

You made some small tweak haha! 89.2%
I commend you good sir
