I traveled for a week, didn't stay too long on the computer and came back to find myself almost in my exam period, so it's been rough.
If you don't like muscular things, you don't like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure as well? It is really good :D

I see, reading the 1st chapter online is smart. I'm currently buying the few light novels in Brazil to support the industry.

I'm reading the best rated/known fantasy books(yes I have a serious fixation with ratings lol).
Just finished the "Name of the Wind" saga (at least both that have been released) and the Assassin's Apprentice first book.
Planning to read The Hobbit to later read The Lord of the Rings.

You don't know why you will never read the best scored manga of all? That's somewhat sad lol. Why don't you like it?
And at score is 6.0 is already too low for me and I'd never finish reading all of them hahaha.
I think 7.0 up is decent but i will read mostly 8.0 or up because they are rated better so they at least tend to be better.
Thanks to that I don't have to read lots of first chapters and waste money on bad mangas (been there, done that) :)
I also have a LOT of fantasy books to read and that's what I've been doing these past weeks. It's good to have more than one hobby :D

I saw there were a lot and I only checked out the first 3 so tell me if it was a specific one. :)
As for the story, most of the times I like the pace they establish but for like Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji I skipped a LOT of scenes because it was too slow, even though I enjoyed the story;
Gotta get back to reading berserk and start the rest of the top 10 mangas too. It's amazing but i put it on hold a while ago.
I look for things that appeal to me that have a decent score at least. I won't look for things with less than 7.5 for example because there are things to see that are definetly better even though they don't interest me so much initially and look for the top scores like those above 8.5 becuause I have faith in MAL scores up to a certain point. I'm such an elitist :D
I've never cosplayed, maybe one day when i don't feel so ashamed hahahaha

The internet problems took quite a bit to solve, so I didn't get to watch anything today D:

And i grew more into anime because as i read and watched the same shows I realized I could connect more with the anime and I would end up valuing it more than the manga. Now I started reading things that haven't come out as anime (like no game no life) so I don't miss on good stories but i no longer read one piece, for example, and just watch it.
Now I'm following the top anime and manga lists and completing titles 1 by 1 so i can get THE BEST shows and mangas/LN lol
Cosplay calendar... nice :D. Are you and your friends gonna cosplay for it? That seems really fun and also a great idea hahaha;
Now I'm gonna watch some Natsume Yuujinchou because it's simply amazing. (Have you watched it?)

Okaaay, my internet was bad today and the reply I wrote disappeared D: so I'm gonna rewrite from what i remember...
1st I need to get back to reading. Stopped my manga/LN reading addiction a looong time ago. The only thing i currently read is no game no life because the author is Brazilian and I wanted to support him :D.
2nd I have a really hard time getting in to old anime. The art isn't so good and the pace is incredibly slow. The only one I managed to go through and thoroughly enjoy was Detective Conan because it wasn't so slow and the story was pretty good. Still haven't gotten to finishing LotGH because it's too sluggish for me (if the fans read this I would be stabbed to death lol). I also haven't seen the others you mentioned, might check them out in a far future, specially gundam because it's so famous.
What kind of school project are you working on? Indeed it seems cool.
And no need to slap yourself hahaha, you're doing better than my lazing around :).
I know i definetly forgot a good part of what i wrote before but that's fine Lol.

The monogatari franchise is completely and utterly beautiful, but it also has a HUGE character development.
As they are incredibly likable, it makes me love the characters, and as a consequence, love the anime as a whole.
The story is incredibly complex, those texts that you have to pause to read (lol) make it much deeper and you dont read them all so you don't get everything.
However, we are all cheap people :). Although i wouldnt use my just as beautiful money to buy beautiful manga covers (and i strongly advise against it), it is hard to start old shows, like Legend of the Galactic Heroes or Detective Conan(which i did) because of the old animation. Now, if you are cheaper than me, HOW did you begin watching such an old show with bad animation like that lol.
I had some problems with dubs when i tried watching Dragon Ball and Naruto in the original dub, but comparing them to the portuguese ones, i can see the quality is much better.
And i know what you mean, school/university is really tiring and you need a reward sometimes :3.
I think i may be getting too many rewards and few work done though hahaha.

I will, indeed, order and check them all out, haven't read any of the novels yet. :)
The movie is pretty amazing, i enjoyed how different the personalities of the characters are before what happens in this first part.
As for the anime, it will NEVER get licensed here lol (Also, there are like 10 light novels licensed here at most) .
I have to get by with crunchyroll and other websites because anime licensing is an incredibly rare occurrence here (only animes for kids etc..)
I sure hope online streaming becomes a bigger media and we get all kinds of anime to watch. After all, it IS the easiest way to watch anything :D
And subs... I just dont trust any of them, the japanese voice actors are infinitely better in 99.9% of the animes lol

WOW! I didn't know that, and it's awesome, but they probably won't come out here in Brazil D:
(It's still great news and I'll probably try to get them through amazon or something, if possible)
I ended up watching the latest movie online because i couldn't find it anywhere to buy it and it only premiered in Japan and in the U.S.
So sad :(

Yep, anybody who likes monogatari deserves my friendship hahahaha.
I can definetly call it a masterpiece and I'd put them all in my favorites given enough space.
And it's a shame you lost your account, but as long as you remember what you had in there, it's fine.
