So, of the many, many Harem/Ecchi anime/manga/novels I've read, the main character in this one has the most believable/manly personality (in my opinion). I really liked his character, the development/growth of his character as he went through his task. I won't put any spoilers in here, but as a summary: This is an Isekai Harem story with an overpowered protagonist. There is not a lot of challenge in any task he does, but the way it is written is such that it feels more like a slice of life than adventure story. The difficulty level of the task is on par with surviving in the read more

So, after having finished finally reading a nice translated copy of this novel, I have to say:
It was an awesome read. I won't delve too much into the story to avoid spoilers, but the characters are easily identified with, the elements of seriousness mixed with comedy and a small hint of romance from time to time makes for a highly enjoyable story. I'm saddened at how it ended - but I can understand the author's intent to 'keep the world alive' with his ending. There is little likelihood of continuation from how he worded his final notes, but all in all it was a fine read more

Now, there are a lot of differing opinions on what you should get out of isekai stories; I'm pretty fond of the genre, myself, and watch a lot of the anime - recently have read quite a few of the manga as well. That being said, there are a lot of different styles, portrayals, and premises for them to play out as. Many negative reviews here, so I thought I'd offer a different opinion, as I enjoyed it just fine.

I rated story 5, as it does tend to follow a lot of the isekai read more

Initially, I'd written a review halfway through the show, now that I've completed it, here's an updated version.
Firstly, this is very much a slice of life show. If you're not a big fan of those, you may not want to watch this one. I enjoy slice of life, romance, comedy, fantasy, sci-fi, and other light-sided genre, so it appealed to me.
This show also incorporates a fantasy element - a magic library. I won't go into a lot of detail, so as not to ruin the story, but this library (while only briefly and periodically mentioned) is a theme that is important to every read more
