Scores are more like categories/groups and compared with each other rather than any numerical scale. To understand the significance of the score, compare it with its respective -1/+1 category. Purely based off enjoyment rather than taking any "objective" factors into account. As such, some scores really wouldn't apply to you unless we have similar tastes in both characters and anime. I've literally scored things a 7 when it deserved a 1-3 score just from me liking a character.
Types are compared against the same types (e.g. movies vs movies, shorts vs shorts, etc.). Specials/movies related to a franchise have a base score of its source then scored accordingly to how it compared with the original show. Shows that are Favorited tend to be shows I would have scored a 10 had the ending just gone another way. I find it pointless to favorite shows the normal way considering that's what my scores are based off in the first place - just look at my 10's if you want that.
"Airing" shows scored are scored numerically with 1 being the highest. Only takes into account of that week's episode and compared against other airing shows. Only really helpful to see how I currently feel about the current season.
Tag definitions:
Dated - Anime that I finished before I took scoring seriously (~1/12/17). These scores are likely to be inaccurate due to me attempting to remember how an anime made me feel years later.
Commented - The entry has been appropriately commented on, detailing the major pros/cons I had about the show.
**Commented** - The show has been commented but it wasn't right after watching the show, sometimes even years later with me forgetting many sequences. Thus, it's less reliable and might not reflect how I truly felt about the show.
Score takes original anime into account - Typically used for movies or specials that I felt were relevant to the anime in terms of plot. Take the score of the anime it's based off and you can get an idea of how I felt about the special/movie (-3 to +3). To elaborate, if it receives the same score as the original anime, you can expect it to be as good/bad as the anime was. If it's a lower score, you can expect it to be worse than the anime. If it's a higher score, you can expect it to be better than the anime. For instance, Kuroko no basket received a 9 when the original anime was a 7. This implies I felt it was at least a +2 score margin than its original anime. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE MOVIE WAS A 9 COMPARED WITH OTHER ANIME.
Score takes all seasons into account - Typically used for either multiple seasons where I felt the seasons weren't standalone either just from the fact that it didn't seem self-contained or if there was a significant cliffhanger. Generally, either I average how I felt about each season and give each the averaged score, or I just link each season with each other and rate it overall. For example, Kara no Kyoukai movies had varying scores between 4-7, so I averaged all of them and arrived at a 6 score for each entry. For Fate:UBW, I felt the first season wasn't a proper representation so I just scored it overall and scored 8 for each.
