The psychological phenomenon of escapism torments a lot of youth today. Previously only used to describe alcoholics who avoid their problems and instead resort to "binge drinking", only worsening the problems they have without directly solving them, escapism now encompasses individuals (a significant majority of whom are considered "young") that avoid their problems with forms of entertainment such as movies, television shows, video games, etc.

All that being said, I avoid my problems by watching anime. Thanks for visiting my profile!
