Both stories are centered around young girls with a story that starts somewhat innocent and quickly turns dark and grim. They both have somewhat cutesy artstyle but don't let that trick you, because some pages become real grotesque real quick. Both stories are also centered around and alien type of enemy.

Gang war activities in Tokyo. If you're looking for more Durara action then this might be for you. Ikebukuro West Gate Park is more on the realistic side though, so no supernatural activities.

Both stories are incredibly compelling at making you feel. If you're looking for a good tearjerker then this is for you. The story builds up with the few episodes it has, but it really makes you fall in love with the characters, and creates an impact full end to the story. These 3 manga's are known as the dark trio of shounen, and as this is the 3rd member you understand where it's going. My favorite part of Jigokuraku is the cast, they make the story inteesting and the best reason to keep reading.

Another dark shounen title where it starts of somewhat happy and quickly turns dark. They strive away from the normal shounen formula and goes against the hero always wins norm. Both titles have very interesting and likable characters as well as a real good power system where they actually makes sense and are well thought out.

Both are set in dark fantasy world where almost everything goes against the main character's odds. They are both well written and push trough the scenarios they are put through. Claymore's world is also very interesting and the world building and character developments is top tier.
