By giving this movie 9, I do not necessarily mean it's equally as good as the original TV series, which I gave the same score. No, I just think that this project, as a movie, has less flaws than the original Trigun.

Badlands Rumble has bombastic action sequences and great coreography, better than the TV series. It's mostly a relaxing comedy with little to no drama at all.
The final battle lacked climax, if it was a bit longer and better executed I'd give it a 10. Which still doesn't mean I would prefer it over the original series.
If you want to just relax and watch something that doesn't require much thinking and psychological exertion, I recommend this move for ya.
If you wanted a mindblowing backstory about Vash and Knives, well you should go back to Trigun Maximum or try it if you haven't yet. Eventually hope something like that comes out soon. Otherwise, this movie would be a big dissapointment for you.

This anime became one of my favourite due to the great emotional impact it left on me.
The review will be short. I'll make some points of why I liked this series, that others seemingly haven't mentioned it yet. No need for writing the short summary, I guess.
As for someone who is fond of western landscapes, deserts and the lonely atmosphere, I think the setting was the cat's whisker. Characters are great, both the protagonists and antagonists (no need to say more about the comedy either, other reviewers did the rest well)
The action is, what I was dissapointed with, in the series. It varies throughout the anime, but majority of the sequences are sucky, sometimes there's no coreography at all. The last battle was brilliant, although I feel they could made it still better.
Characters, amazing music and the atmosphere of the environment is what made me cry.
The animation is old school but average even for its time. But I have no problem with it, since I like older animes.
The story is quite good and I'd say it is pretty unique had I seen it before Monster (there are quite some similarities between the two). Sorry if I'm being an ass for this.
Overall, Trigun is a great anime with balance. It known when it should turn into comedy and when to become extremely serious.

I'm honored to give my review for such an amazing anime. Monster is a pure masterpiece, very close to the perfection. I would say that this anime is not a typical one, like many anime series and even seinen that are action-packed, have magic, supernatural powers, time travel and some other unrealistic elements used in anime.
This anime series actually tried to be more like live-action than anime. When you watch it you really have a feel like you're watching a serious thriller full of suspense. From that point, I could say that Naoki Urasawa want to be different from other artists and if you

Monster is a unique series that actually try to explain the connection between good and evil that is often very hard to recognize. The story in series is full of suspense, mysteries and drama.
What I find interesting about this series is that the picture book that appears in the ending credits is an important subject in the story.
Monster is often compared to Death Note. I have finished both series and Monster is much better in my opinion. First: Monster is more complex while Death Note is focused on only one thing: find Kira, though the story in DN, has a faster progress than in Monster. But I could watch Monster all day regardless of the length, the story is so fantastic. And it's ridiculous to compare Light and Johan because they are so different in many ways. Light as a highly intelligent student has made a big mistake in his strategy at the beggining (I'll write about this when I'll review Death Note). Johan is genuis and he doesn't need supernatural powers to kill and manipulate people. I also find some characters in DN, too arrogant and annoying. Moster is in many ways better than Death Note. Those two series are completely different by themes and story. The only common they have is a deep nature and both are thrillers filled with mysteries and drama (that's probably the only reason to compare those two series).
Story: 10
This is by far the best storyline I've ever saw among all the fictions. Every episode and character is connected to the story, no single filler. I'm amazed how Naoki succeeded keeping it balanced through 74 ep-long series. It's interesting how some of the history's most important figures like Hitler and Soviets had an impact on the certain characters. The story is set in Central Europe but mainly in Germany.The story has some historical references, but it's not really a historical tale either, it tells how some of the eastern countries suffered from communism and Soviet Invasion. Many characters are Slavens and Germans what I like because it's rare to see their names in anime.
Art: 10
Naoki draw the characters to look realistic as far as they can. The art is not focused on the big eyes that are typical for animes and there are no kawai characters with green or pinkish hair, characters are really suitable for realistic anime like this. Although art is not specific it is very well done.
Sound: 10
Sound effects and music are really trustworthy for those genres. While I was watching the Ruhenheim arc in Monster, ny mom was reading the book and by sounds she recognised that I was watching something like thriller mixed with mild horror. Soundtracks are so awesome escpecially the ''Faith'' and ''The seeds of time'' are EPIC!
Character: 10
More than 30 complex characters, none of the characters is useless. Johan is by far the most fascinating antagonist in the whole anime history. He is a master-mind and I'm amazed by his way of manipulating and playing with people. Tenma is one of the best protagonists I've seen so far. He understood the roguery of the politic game that unfortunately exists in the real life also. He lost his job, fiance and everything to find Johan and solve the mystery. He did the right thing despite the fact that he saved the life of the serial killer.
Enjoyment: 10
I enjoyed every second in this anime. Although the first few eps. were not that epic later I became so hooked, every moment kept me on the edge of seat.
Overall: 10
The best anime I've ever seen. Even my parents who consider that nothing good can come out from anime got interested for Monster. Soon we'll watch it together and I hope they'll understand the real value of Monster. This series can teach you a lot about life.
Warner Bros's New Line Cinema is planning to release the live-action film since 2009 but it's still in progress. Let's hope we'll see it someday on our screens and in cinemas. Maybe if they'll make the movie good and epic as anime then more people could recognise this phenomenal series.
I can't believe that some people complain about its length -.- Personally I couldn't imagine it shorter, every episode perfectly fit the follow of the story.

Dragon Ball is one of the greatest manga franchises. It gained its global popularity since early 90s and it seems that it's still going strong. Dragon Ball is the manga series that later was adapted into 2 anime series, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball GT is the last series but is not part of the manga and Dragon Ball Kai which is the newest is the remake of Z. There are video games that have became higly successful. standards for the shonen jump genre. It influenced many today - popular series like Naruto and One Piece.
Dragonball (DB) is the first anime series and the best in my opinion. Dragonball became very popular globaly after the success in Japan and already was distributed in some foreign countries in early 90s. I'd also say that it is pretty underrated despite its popularity it is largely overshadowed by its successor DBZ. However there are still people who prefer DB over DBZ and I'm one of them.
Dragonball is an excellent anime with well complex story, great art ( since the anime is from 80s), very nice character development and for what I appreciate it the most is the great balance. I found fights in DB to be much more entertaining than in DBZ. The characters are balanced and there is no such a ridiculous power gap between characters. I mostly enjoyed tournaments that were so awesome and intense. I could see that DB was more about martial arts, techniques and strategy than superpowers. This is also the point I noticed between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Naruto (strategy, martial arts), Shippuden (powerups). Another point: every character in DB was important, in Z most of the good and funny characters were omitted, the similar situation is in Shippuden, neji, lee, shino and kiba don't have an important role anymore. Humor is so good that I almost got heart attack especially in some perverted scenes that includes who else but Master Roshi :D. The story is actually a large journey about Goku, his childhood, meeting with his friends and gathering Dragon Balls. (no spoilers)
Like many other anime series this one has flaws. In my opinion Red ribbon army and Pilaf were a lame enemy. The first 40 episodes were not that epic. Goku was battling machines and dodging rackets. The only eh.. decent enemy from army was General Blue. But it's getting interesting after Blue saga, when Goku battles the higly skilled assassin Tao Pai Pai, later Crane School and its leader Master Shen who is revelaed to be Tao's older brother, King piccolo and Piccolo Jr.
Toward the very end of the series, DB really starts to resemble Z. Older Goku vs Tien was the very last fight focused on skills, after that it was just explosions, blasts and massacre.
Overall this is a great anime far better than Dragon Ball Z. I enjoyed it.
