Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san, aka Please don't bully me, Nagatoro-san is honestly, pretty different. And in a way that I definitely appreciate!

The plot is simple and to the point. A girl named Nagatoro adores bullying her poor Senpai, and takes immense satisfaction in getting him as flustered and worked up as possible.

Now, if you're not a fan of sadistic girls or a 'character bullies the one they like' trope, then this probably won't be your cup of tea. So far, Nagatoro isn't secretly an adorably innocent girl pining over her Senpai in secret and slightly bullying him, no. She seems to genuinely enjoy it, and read more

Oshiete! Galko-chan is something I, admittedly, would've never watched if I hadn't heard so many people raving about it. And boy, am I glad I finally got off my high horse and gave this hidden gem a try.

It's so, so hard for me to fully explain this show without making it sound like another ecchi mess, which it REALLY isn't.

Basically, the plot is just Galko and her friends discussing various things about the human (particularly the female) body and things that you wouldn't see any other highschool girl in an anime say without dying of embarrassment, because that's how anime tends to portray it's girls, read more

One thing I noticed is that this anime seemed to rub a good number of people the wrong way, and while it's by no stretch perfect, I really don't get why this show was so hated in it's season :'D

Sure, it gets pretty ecchi sometimes. But it's by NO means overbearing (besides that....motorcycle washing scene, dear sweet god) and this is coming from someone who's not all that fond of ecchi. Aside from some boob jiggles from Rin, that one drunken perv teacher, some eyecatches, and one hot springs scene, it's really not all that ecchi, to be completely honest.

One thing I really do read more

Aho girl is, well, literally what the name implies. It's about a very, VERY stupid girl who sort of causes misery to everyone around her.

Now, I only started watching this anime the other day, expectations sort of low, and was very surprised by how funny this anime actually is. The humor can be random, but it's a hilarious sort of random. I legitimately had to pause a few times because I was laughing too hard. Each episode is only 12 minutes long, with 3-4 separate segments and they're nearly all winners every episode.

There's Yoshiko, our main character, who's unsurprisingly, well, stupid. She's blunt, read more

Watamote is an anime that definitely leaves a mark on people who watch it, whether they liked the anime or not. More or less, the plot is about a VERY lonely girl who just wishes to be popular.

I've seen people who adore this show, and people who say they couldn't get past the second episode, unable to bear the second-hand embarrassment. As for me, I honestly adored this series! It's...different, a lot different than your usual 'shy girl's misadventures at school' series, and I think the anime's biggest strength (or deal-breaker, for the people who dislike this anime) is Tomoko herself.

Tomoko is, honestly, a read more

Aggressive Retsuko is just...great.

I remember seeing a clip of it and laughing, thinking it was hilarious, and then seeing how there were 50+ episodes out already and going, "Hm, I'll give it a try but I dunno if the same punchline is gonna keep me entertained for that many episodes."

Boy, was I wrong. I got all caught up with this anime in under two hours.

The premise is simple, but great. A red panda named Retsuko is a businesswoman who has to deal with some BS from nearly everyone/everything and sings hardcore death metal as an outlet for her anger.

This never stopped being read more

New Game!! is the definition of an anime knowing what it is, and executing it perfectly. It's 'cute girls doing cute things' done fantastically with great characters, and I really do adore it. Season 1 was great, and this season is shaping up to be even better!

After accomplishing her dream and becoming a game developer in the first season, this season continues on with Aoba's adventures with her fellow coworkers.

This anime does get serious at times, but it always keeps that saccharine sweet, warm feeling to it that makes whoever's watching it feel light. The animation is really, really nice and fluid and the art read more

Holy GOD. This anime.

Okay, I admittedly started watching it because the OP looked like a jazzy rendition of a girl gathering a bunch of other girls into her lesbian harem, but I certainly wasn't disappointed with what I actually got when I watched it, because holy crap.

Yumeko is a girl who starts a new school where Gambling is used to basically decide the school's hierarchy. Yumeko is 100% on board with this.

The way this anime handles it's facial expressions and characters is just godly. Some people might think the expressions are TOO exaggerated, but I think they're rad and really represent how evil the read more

Miss Kobayashi's dragon maid was not only my favorite of the Winter 2017 season, but one of my favorite anime of all time. Like, top three. That's how much I adored this anime.

STORY: With a plot that sounded silly to most at first glance, including myself, it ended up being so much more than I expected. When I first heard about this anime, I remember rolling my eyes and thinking, "Really? A maid who's also a dragon? They're running out of ideas..." Well, I've never eaten my own words so quickly. Something that looks so comedic and light-hearted at first has completely serious, solemn and read more

Gabriel dropout was really one of my favorites in the Winter 2017 season. With an unconventional protagonist, scummy angels and very un-demonic demons, it really felt like something special to me.

STORY: Nothing solemn or serious here. Completely comedic and something that's perfect for someone looking for a feel-good thing to watch after a stressful day. Lighthearted, humorous with serious moments being present but very rare and in-between. 8/10

CHARACTERS: A very strong aspect of this anime. There are very few characters besides the main four, but that's all the anime really needs because of how distinct and perfect the main four were. Gabriel, the very read more
