Ah, saw your Tumblr post in the Hyouka tag. I have no clue if you'd actually like it or not, though good luck with Kokoro Connect I quite like it but I find many are less liking it than me - and you really need the OVAs for a not terrible ending, but Chihayafuru might be something you could like.
It's a Josei sports anime which if you give it some time really draws you in because of how awesome the characters are. Should be up to snuff production value wise since it's Madhouse and has Mamoru Miyano in it >.>
