OMG, Happy Late Birthday! I shouldn't have said I was late since by the time you see this it probably won't matter. I hope you're doing great, you're like an adult now :) You grew up so fast Lol Hopefully one day we'll be able to talk like we used to. I probably won't hear from you soon so I'll wish you happy holidays now and try not to stress as usual.

It's always important to find an environment your happy with. Honestly it doesn't much matter where you get your degree from unless you're going to one of the top 1% schools. I know more than one recruiter and personnel manager and they all tell me that all they look at is the fact that you got your degree. So, what's important is that you enjoy your time. Why would she be moving to Tennessee if you go to Vanderbilt? Is she going to follow you? That doesn't sound like a good idea to me, you have enough stress without your parents being right there.

People don't change but we evolve to an extent. We become more aware of ourselves and who we are but you're right that the core is always there. In your case there's nothing wrong with that. You're a wonderful person so I would never want you to change :)

Being different can be difficult but it just makes you unique and honestly you're one of the most unique people I know. I still have not met anyone else that plays violin and knits, one or the other but never both. Btw, it's cold as hell here, where's my hat :P

School is so damn expensive no matter where you go but 60k is a lot. BYU? That's a really conservative religious school, Mormon I think, right? I figured you might want to go away and let yourself go a little wild. Do they still have that no sex pledge that all the students have to take? I thought that was weird. The most important thing will be you feeling comfortable wherever you go. If BYU looks right for you I say go for it, I'm sure you'll get in no problem :)
