I think you summed up Highschool of the Dead quite nicely. It's definitely not a complex anime, all those zombies getting their craniums imploded lol.

I whole-heartedly agree with your point about the fanservice... and this is coming from a male 2nd year university student. It got so over the top that some episodes lost some of that "survival horror" momentum.

All in all I'd agree with you on saying it's a 7, however I might push it to an 8 because just now I remember Saiko's backstory being quite well developed, and her qualms about going berserk (because she liked it lol).
