Im not sure what an anime watch challenge is :P what do i have to do?

Sorry i have been swamped with finals! Hmm, its hard to make recommendations! I think based on what you are looking for you should really checkout season 2 of Natusme's book of friends! I liked it more than s1. Less relaxing but more mysterious i would say Shinsekai yori, im not sure if it made me feel deeply, but I was definitely immersed in the world!

In all honesty im not sure exactly what im looking for, im pretty open to anything. Maybe a short series focused on its characters and an overarching theme like pingpong had? Or maybe a mystery?

Im definitely interested in recommendations! Planetes is really good but I think i like it on more of a personal level, one of those shows that you watch at the perfect time in your life and it just fits. For recommendations hmmmmm, maybe Nodame cantabile, Shinsekai Yori, HxH, really depends on what you are looking for!

My review for it is in the top 4 spot if you want a detail rundown on why I loved it. But in a nutshell, it's one of the most poignant dramas with fully realized characters I've seen in anime since Nana.

The winner was decided all the way back in winter, Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. Nothing else even comes close to topping it.

I plan on finishin Trigun n Samurai Champloo, and I'm definitely gonna check Ghost in the Shell out since the movie was so rad.

I'll also add those other recs to my plan to watch! B)

The bloopers (especially in the best-of compilation) are pretty darn premium, I will say. The series itself does get very dark and very violent, as you know.

My own self, I'm primarily looking forward to my break next week because Rad Tag and I are both homeward bound and we have plans to watch トリニティ・ブラッド. Prettyboy vampire priest main character dude + prettyboy jrock guy singing the opening theme: perfect cocktail for Northeast Winter Blues.

Berserkにおいて、the recommendation I received and followed was to read the manga first and then watch the anime (or, more specifically, to watch the anime dub bloopers, then read the manga, then watch the anime), but the manga is quite long (not to mention unfinished) and the anime is not. Both the 90s anime series and the later movie trilogy give a good idea of the first arc and have great music to boot, so it's really your call.
