Similar surrealism for horrorific/emotionless super strong beings that mindlessly kill those in its way with other certain evolution and some of its creatures being on the more intelligent spectrum to kill. Taking place in alternate horrific worlds filled with isolation and terror from this solid and terrible creatures. Brutality, lots of violence and excessive gore in both titles.

This anime came to mind for some reason when I watched Bobobo. I think the first main similarities being the narrator in both anime are very fourth wall breaking and become like one of the main characters of the anime. They add their own comic relief and jokes in there, especially the English dubs. Speaking of English dubs, the dubbing in these two anime can arguably be better and funnier than the original Japanese ones for a non-Japanese audience as the dialogue tends to go off script from the orifinal a bit and even poking fun at the original Japanese visual jokes. Both series is really wacky and insane and filled with many characters for almost pure comic relief and very minimal plot line. The actions and jokes are pretty random and the type of anime where you can just turn your brain off and enjoy.

Wacky character design to give a sense of despair or surrealism in a well thought out game style anime Thrilling games which often feel like a life or death situation, sometimes quite literally if the game is lost. Characters willing to do whatever it takes to win, often teaming up with other characters. Characters using other characters to get ahead, but the MC in both usually has good intentions for others they want to help out in each anime, even if it's at a loss for them.

When it comes to the final fantasy games, the base concept is the 4 warriors of light fighting chaos, in which FFU is hugely inspired and based off of. Shield hero has this same base concept of 4 heroes within the same world to fight against an entity of chaos. FFU is a classic in this genre which has been getting popular in recent times. Both anime has the characters meeting new monsters and fighting monsters, as well as meeting characters with their own set of powers. Both anime features a giant bird-like creature in which people can ride or use ĺike a horse. Both use a tree-like upgrade system either through a shield or by upgrading a gun with different bullets to get stronger.

There is always so much that can be done with the theme of time travel, yet there are so many anime that deals with this wide theme and does things their own way. Suzumiya is a unique experience dealing with time travel and other out of this world phenomenons. It is one trip through time, going through the cycles of time or back in the past with varied experience. Just as re:zero has a few episodes with similar experiences repeated but varied slightly each time to further the plotline, Suzumiya also has several episodes one after another, which may make you think that you are watching the same episode as before, but if you watch closely enough, you will see the differences in each episode. These events happen until something finally breaks this endless cycle of time repeating itself, and that's when you find out all the secrets behind this time loops. A time loop is just one fraction of Suzumiya, but there is so much more going on. The same could be said with re:zero, that there is so much more beyond the main character's time loop.

Lots of boobs, while portraying women as strong fighters. Creative ways to get a girl's clothes taken off or showing a character aroused during battles to make them a stronger fighter. There are also arena battles where the female characters are battling one another for honour and glory, and they are either almost naked or exposed. There is also emphasis on the main character being a virgin and innocent, while the female opponents are often wild with their fighting style.

Right away I got the vibe of Spice and Wolf from this anime. Spice and Wolf seems to have the setting of a pioneering type, taking place before modern technology. In both anime, there is a small village to start out, and with the same direction they head to a capital city to do some trade or work. From the very start there is work and the world has its own currency system in which the characters are working to gain. From this work system, there is something beyond the little villages and the characters will see something more. Not only that, but the main characters find a mysterious character from the start, and they take in these mysterious characters and look after them as a companion, almost like a pet. There's a bit of a reversal with the character roles between Spice and Wolf and Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen. Spice and Wolf the main character is human and finds a half human/half wolf girl. Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen it's a girl who looks half human/half wolf or some other creature and she finds a human boy. Although the roles are reversed, the basic concept is there. Each character learns something new about one another. They are both linked together by working to survive day by day and gain some extra earnings to make a better living. Then the story branches out to something greater above their daily life and the everyday work they have to do.

In both series, the female armour distinguishes their character and brings out their inner powers. However, in Queen's blade there is more ecchi-ness and fantasy in it. The scantly clad armour is ripped off more during battles, revealing more eye candy and nude women. Queen's blade also has a more expanded plot and a clear goal in sight
