I was putting this show off for so long and was ready to drop this after I was disappointed with “The Night is Short, Walk on Girl”. While this series is a spiritual predecessor to that film I ended up really charmed. It’s Yuasa so I already knew the art would be great and in his unique style. What I didn’t expect was how great the characters would be and how well the episodic nature fit into the story of Tatami Galaxy.

For the most part episode has our MC on alternate timeline of his college experience. My takeaway from each episode was how we ...

Kengan Ashura (Manga) add
Are you one of those readers that hates all the boring dialogue in manga and wish the next fight scene would begin, then pick up Kengan Ashura.

Who's not entertained by the classic tournament arc in every Shonen, so why not read a manga fully dedicated to that story. This is that manga you binge in a weekend because you can't put it down, you just gotta see that next fight. You're not going to get the best writing or the most masterful story telling but in compensation you'll get beautifully drawn non-stop action with really fun characters. Death Note (Anime) add
Spoiler
TLDR: I came into Death Note knowing big plot points. If you are like me and put the show off for a long time because of that, still watch it. It is worth it.

I watched this anime knowing certain major spoilers, which is why it took me so long to get myself to watch it. However seeing it on Netflix and bored this quarantine I said why not. Definitely glad I made that choice because Death Note still holds up to be an incredible strong story through the knowledge of major spoilers. The soundtrack and style are so immaculate it's like Madhouse is showing ...

Preliminary (10/23 eps)
This review is written at the time I have finished the first two cases, if I'm not lazy and/or get to finishing the show I'll update this The show is full of Mary Sues and the plot is painfully predictable, however the art and soundtrack are quite solid. I feel like this show is trying to be a modern Lupin, but the schemes and characters don't come close to the cast and cleverness of Lupin. The first two villains are really boring and have nothing going for them. Of our main cast the only character I can somewhat enjoy is Edamura and Laurent is sometimes ...
