Ansatsu Kyoushitsu - also known as Assassination Classroom is an anime that differs from your average anime where the genre school is tagged to it. In fact I may even refer to this as one of the rare masterpieces of storytelling that I came across on my journey through anime and manga. There is no particular condition which the viewer needs to fulfill first in order to enjoy this anime since it discusses so many different aspects of life sometimes in a smart and funny way while simultaneously being able to send the more serious messages which contain wisdom to the audience.

To give an ... overview about what is to be expected when you enter the lessons of Koro Sensei you better not have zoo-phobia or the like because you'll be astonished once the lesson starts. An octopus like creature is too much to handle for anyone who haven't seen too much science fiction lately. This being not enough our octopus is actually the main protagonist around whom everything revolves for the most part. Quite the strange setup you tell yourself - but you know what ? This exact situation where a monster is called the teacher leads into some very amusing events throughout the show. Furthermore the main goal of the students of 'class-e' is to kill their teacher so that they may prevent the earth from total destruction.

Now the title 'Koro Sensei' already refers to the relationship these students of class-e have with their teacher whom they casually are able to call their sensei. On the surface it probably appears like there is some kind of oppression going on coming from that yellow smiling octopus but soon enough the viewer is able to understand that this distinctive smile is nothing but the true and pure outcome of a person as compassionate as this monster called Koro Sensei. To get a better grasp of who he really is one shouldn't forget about his moving speed that is said to be around mach 20 or 6860m/s. Meaning he's able to cover the distance from Germany to USA in about 20 minutes.

Even though there is an overall plot the anime still could be considered episodic but that is based on your own opinion. The main point to consider however is that each episode focuses on one of the characters that are present which leads to a sufficient character development. If you enjoy comedy anime in general then you absolutely will be pleased while watching this especially when it comes to the face expressions of koro sensei which I enjoyed the most. On the other hand the plot doesn't only revolve around class-e but also involves other classes from the same school which are all together opposed to class-e because it's considered as a place where only the 'losers' end up and the mysterious chairman also has a hand in this while the government cooperates together with the children from class-e to achieve their main goal of killing Koro Sensei.

I'll conclude this review by saying that I humbly would recommend this anime to anyone since there is something in this that everyone will find interesting regardless of his own taste. You will have a complete new understanding about the term 'assassination' afterwards and it's even possible to have a new way of understanding to life as a whole after watching this anime because for me it was a refreshing experience and the lighthearted moments combined together with the explanations of what really is important. I was overly certain about not having wasted my time much rather I got the impression that I've 'killed' my free time doing something quite entertaining.

Mushishi - this title refers to the vocation of our main male protagonist. You may think now why the hell should someone state this obvious fact and highlight it the way I am doing right now. Now the reason behind this is simple - if you take a deeper look into the meaning of the word mushishi you'll understand, that the translation basically goes like this: 'mushi-master' or more precisely 'master of insects'.

Our 'master of insects' is naturally bound to experience the strangest events on his journey as the title already emphasizes his connection to the nature. In the world of mushishi however one ... can't achieve a profound understanding of the nature without paying attention to the 'mushi' who play a major to the environment by influencing the laws of nature. There are many episodes where these mushi are used in an explanatory manner to describe the sensitive ecological balance which interacts with the human race as a whole either in a positive or a negative way.

This whole setup leads into some very interesting story's told by the author in a mature way meaning as I've already stated, you won't always sit there watching this anime with a smile on your face but sometimes if you grasp the whole situation it's possible that you'll find yourself having a lump in your throat. What you'll get certainly though after watching an episode is a message that you may be able to relate yourself to.

Nagi No Asukara - A Lull in the Sea,

the title already awakes the interest, especially if you're searching for something that'll take you on a journey through a fantasy world which is unmatched so far. the concept may have been used already in some other works however the execution is what matters the most and it's done very well here for different reasons:

- first and foremost it's important to say how much influence a good mix of the sound and the art can have on a show that focuses on a fantasy setting. if you take a look at my rating you'll realize that I've ... rated these two points higher than the rest. that's exactly why this show did it's job right and left a good impression on me. the art style is on point and it even drove me far enough to take screenshots from some scenes. the music always can be a matter of argument because it depends on the taste, however in my opinion it fits the tone of the show pretty well.

- the story is well told and it didn't felt rushed or something in that direction. it start's off with a slow pace and get's faster or I'd rather say more intensive during the middle. also there aren't any unanswered questions left at the end, which is a very good point because it is said that a good ending (or rather an explained ending in this context) is essential for a good overall experience.


-my only complain goes to the characters because we get the well known standard cast for the most part here, there is the caring type, the clumsy type as well as the hero who is all energetic and the silent type who is busy with his own thoughts. nonetheless all characters have their unique actions as the plot progresses and it didn't feel like something is missing.

for me it felt like a adventurous journey and this is why i can recommend this show without any second thought.
