Some general info about myself:
- I enjoy both reading manga and watching anime.
- I prefer to marathon an anime rather than waiting for a new episode weekly. I'm not fond of watching an anime series that is still ongoing, I always wait for it to be completed and then binge-watch it in the span of a few days.
- I prefer to marathon a manga too but given the circumstances I'm also fine with reading unfinished manga. After I have reached the latest chapter available, then I just put it on hold and pick it back up later when more chapters have been released.
- I will never drop an anime/manga, I will always finish what I started no matter how horrible the anime/manga is.
- At the moment I don't read light novels but I might do it in the future.
About my list:
- If an anime has more than one season, I only rate the one I regard as the best and leave the others unrated. The reason for this is that I rate anime as a whole series and anime with multiple seasons will distort the mean score of my list.
- If there is any, I always read the one-shot of the manga but I do not add them to my list as I think they are not significant enough to be judged and provide nothing but clutter the list.
- For some series that have both anime and manga adaptations, I may have watched the anime and read the manga but I only put my rating on either one that I like more.
- My favorite anime/manga lists are listed by my watch/read chronological order. My favorite characters list is ordered based on my character ranking. My favorite people list has no particular order.
- Even though I try to give scores as objectively as possible, it's still my own personal view, so my scoring will definitely be subjective. Also, I tend to have a stricter evaluation on more popular anime/manga compared to the unpopular ones.
- The scores I assign are susceptible to change at any time, they may increase or decrease in accordance to the other anime/manga I watch/read. As I watch/read more anime/manga, the scores will become more and more accurate.
- The tags section is currently unused but I might modify it to better accommodate my list in the future.
How I rate anime/manga:
- 10 (Masterpiece): I would strongly recommend anyone to watch/read the anime/manga. The anime/manga inspired me and had me overflowing with emotions with its wonderful storytelling and compelling characters throughout the series. I was able to enjoy the anime/manga fully and there was a sense of attachment to the anime/manga after I was done with it. Truly a masterpiece.
- 9 (Great): I would highly recommend anyone to watch/read the anime/manga. Excellent series with just a few shortcomings. It could be better, but I would say it's already awesome enough at its current state. The anime/manga was really captivating, leaving something more to be desired. Overall I really enjoyed the anime/manga and I'm extremely glad that I picked it up.
- 8 (Very Good): I would recommend anyone to watch/read the anime/manga. A solid anime/manga. The anime/manga had a lot of likeable points, but at some parts there were several minor irks that prevented the anime/manga from reaching its full potential. Basically a very good series, though not great enough to leave a strong lasting impression on me afterwards.
- 7 (Good): I would recommend the anime/manga to most people. Pretty good series that had some flaws in my opinion. It was able to keep me entertained for the most part, despite having some of the elements in the anime/manga that were a bit of a letdown. It wasn't truly exceptional but the anime/manga was still fairly enjoyable nevertheless.
- 6 (Fine): I wouldn't really recommend the anime/manga to others. Although there were some good things about the anime/manga, there's too much weird or awkward points in the series that brought the whole thing down, mostly either through lousy plot or characters. In the end, it was only interesting enough to keep me occupied.
- 5 (Average): I wouldn't recommend the anime/manga to others. There were a few fine aspects about the anime/manga but they were totally eclipsed by the poor presentation in the other parts of the anime/manga, such as plotholes in the storyline or the abundance of generic characters. It's just bearable, so don't expect too much out of it.
- 4 (Bad): I would go against watching/reading the anime/manga. The anime/manga had few to none redeemable points, and was full of stuff that were intolerable to me like lame plots or cringeworthy characters. I couldn't find much enjoyment going through the series. Either it's completely out of my taste or it's actually really horrible.
