IMHO, I think it is better; then, opinion varies. One of the thing I didn't like about the anime was that they changed some of Yusuke's behaviours, such as smoking, because it wouldn't have appeared right in TV for a minor to smoke. That is acceptable, but it ruins some of his personality. And in the manga he was much more vulgar.
Plus, sometimes, during the dark tournament season, they've put so many useless things that weren't in the manga, that I sometimes found myself forwarding the episode just to get to the point. And that is not a good thing.
Yeah, I too find that series a bit rushed and not really necessary; but, you know, this manga is so great because it's probably the only one where I not only love the main characters, but the secondary ones as well, and that includes enemies. So, even if brief, I felt that the presence of Yomi and Mukuro was a great one. Raizen, well, he may have been stronger, but we met him in the last moment of his life, so I can't say much about him. But I am happy to have met the other two. So, all in all, nothing is ever wasted in this series.
Btw, I am always referring to the manga; while I liked the anime, it's nothing compared to the original work.
Well, I guess there's strength, and there's charm; I think I can easily find them both in Kurama, even if he's not the stronger one. Plus, he can transform in yoko, another thing to add to the coolness factor :D
Hi, thanks for the comment, but believe me, there are worse (in a good way) lists out there ^^; I'm still working on mine, though I admit I've seen my fair share of animes.
