Ok so I'm an all around fan of higurashi and with that out I love the characters and the happy go lucky times just as much as the creepy side. I enjoyed this as I could see more of the characters I love. So if you want some great story as an expansion to the originals you wont find it here but rather a series of silly things Rika Keichi etc. Do.

I'm horrible at writing reviews but here I go. Elfen lied is an manga that delly brings out a humans true nature in my opinion. When a person finds something different they want to destroy it right? I'm sure many other reviews say something similar. It brings up many issues that make me choke up. Bullying, devices that stop a races murderous intentions, using sentient beings as your science projects, etc.. This is a cruel creation light hearted at times but it takes dramatic turns frequently and keeps you on edge. I highly suggest this to those who are a fan of more hardcore ... dramatic things. Also the anime adaptation leaves so much out. The manga is much better. That is all.

Now I gave everything a 10 because I personally love this anime. It kept me on edge with the final arc and was quite heart wrenching for me to see it play out. Too many people rate down this anime because of how in each arc Haru is with a different girl. That's because its based on an eroge. Also because of the incestuous themes that come along with it but to me it adds to the drama and puts you through quite the rush. Well this is just a reveiw but I believe this anime is excellent so please give it a chance.
