A very different type of show that may have some truth built into it and maybe a dark and dreaded forcaste of humanities future. Of the start of the path that leads us to the end result which would be like the Borg from Star Trek NG.
People are merging with techology and the social impacts as well as the dangers of it are part of the storyline. There is a elite para-military force of enhanced people that try to keep order in a very hard to be ordered world.
The part that bothers me so much is I've seen this type ...

This story line was the second part of the overall story. It grew up in many ways from the first one. Better art work and direction, writing all added more to a good story. We saw Derik Wildstar (if that was his name or how it was spelled?) as a older, more mature person than in the first one. He fit into the Commanders shoes and learned wisdom.
They had a terrible new enemy coming at Earth and so the Star force once again felt a need to help save others as well as earth.
It had it's dumb parts as well ...

I've seen this over different periods in my life.
The first was when I was a young kid and ran home from school to get there in time to watch it. I really liked it.
It was also my first experience with this type of Anime or Japanese Cartoons or Animation and I really did love the story line that I've never seen in animated shows before. It was unique.

I wish I had some Japanese people to talk to about this series because it effected me deeply. It had such depth to it that said a lot past the story line I felt and I am very glad I watched it on many levels.
The story was done well. In a way you needed to see the Full Metal Alchemist orig. series first. Because the Brotherhood got deeply into parts that were left hanging and just not clearly done in the first one. It made a point of giving all the people (and sort of people) depth and a reason why they ...

Preliminary (67/97 eps)
What's to say, they took what I thought of as the orig. story, cut up the story and left the fighting. Great for short attention span people who like to get around the depth of the story that included many others than just Goku and Gohan and Vegeta. The orig. did drag on at times and some of the fights like with Freeza on a planet that took so many eps to explode in the alloted 5 min. was stretching things quite a bit.
It has it's good parts and not so good parts. Most stories do.
But what was ...
