Shounens that don't take themselves seriously but also have some surprisingly epic moments. A perfect balance of humour and action, crazy fights and strong camaraderie. Both mangaka have used designs sent in from readers to create a ton of ridiculously gimmicky minor characters.

The similarities are apparent when you look at the members and how they are introduced into the story. Not only that but their personalities and roles in the team. Both clubs start off weak but after some new members join, gain the attention from top schools.

A strange girl suddenly introduced into the MC's life and now they're stuck looking after them. Both have a slice of life feel with a little bit of romance and mystery. Nice animation and relaxing to watch.

They're pretty much identical. A man happens to stumble upon and takes home a beautiful broken android that suffers a memory malfunction, unable to remember their previous owner and their past. Both androids are incapable of functioning normally like other models of their kind but the man teaches new things to them like performing menial tasks around the home. Lighthearted in the beginning but becomes very dark in the end. Both are a must watch if you like human/machine relationships.

Same: - Forming a music club. - High school setting. - Not much of a story but isn't too random. - Rather easy watching, K-On! more-so. - Vibrant characters. Different: - K-On! has moe and silly characters. TT has beautiful and realistic characters. - Art style. I find TT more visually impressive. - K-On! is very light hearted. TT has drama. - K-On!'s band play J-Pop/Rock. TT are a choir group. - K-On!'s cast is all female whilst TT is mixed with gender and age. Conclusion: Both are a joy to watch. I don't think the two are that similar apart from the setting and plot. K-On starts off rather slow but really picks up in the middle with Azusa's appearance. It's silly, easy, fun and moetastic. TT has melodrama, more character development and variety than just music. Still I recommend if you watched one of these then have a shot at the other.

If you like male protagonists that get teased by a bunch of girls. No romance apart from slight hints here and there. The gags are alot different though; SYD is very perverted whilst GJ jokes are tame and cute. Main characters are somewhat identical; Shino/Shion, Suzu/Mao and Aria/Megumi.

Futagami☆Double

If you enjoyed KHR's dying will concept then Futagami Double is worth a read as it shares a similar type of powering up. The protagonist in FD is a meek schoolboy who transforms into a stronger state to fulfil a will of theirs, very much like Tsuna.

Nisekoi

The protagonists have unfortunate circumstances that get them into awkward situations with girls; in Nisekoi, its his gangster family and in Nyan Koi, its the cat curse. The cast is similar. Both protagonists have a mutual crush with shy girl, a tsundere who is always arguing with the protagonist to the point where he absolutely hates her and a female that gets confused for a male. Both focus more on comedy than the romance.
