Alright lets make this quick

The story was good, the animation was excellent, sound was good, and the characters were okay. So where this anime falls short is the pacing of the entire show.

The pacing was excruciating slow each episode. It took a really long time for the characters to do something resulting in bad payoff each week of an episode. They should've cut some of that slice of life scenes as well as their investigation scenes and concentrated on various characters instead of following just those two main characters all the time.

This is why fate/zero was awesome, we got to know various characters stories ... and motivations including their "Heroes" and we also got to see how they all reacted to each other and each others motivation. In fate/zero something always seem to happen each episode, resulting in good payoff. In fate/stay night we just concentrate on our main protagonists all the time and they aren't very interested themselves.

Overall the payoff for this series felt lacking till the end. It felt as if nothing was happening for most of the entire series (until the end episodes).

I've started watching the fate series since Fate/Zero and so far this has been having pacing issues. So far it seems that nothing has happened except just some character intros and the Main characters investigating other characters. Let's compare this with Fate/Zero where characters already introduced theme selves in 2 episodes and then We get two see how each of them are trying to outdo each other whereas in F/SN we usually see characters doing High School Anime tropes (or just hanging out at shirou's place eating something) for half an episode and the other half sometimes involves fighting.

Yes, there are episodes (like 3 out ... of 8) where the ball gets rolling but then we're always brought to the same stage. Except for episode 1 in fate/zero, every episode was entertaining to some degree; something was always happening whereas in this show the ball rolls but then it reverts back to this. I think these episodes needed to be 45m long because on some episodes hardly anything happens except a clue or something gets found out.

Update: Alright guys things are finally picking up at episode 10 this time around. After the creators of the show sprinkled some story and lore here and there throughout the slow pacing of things, things finally are coming around and we are now getting "dipped" in story instead of just sprinkles since various character are starting to come into light and giving us a glimpse on how they are (character development outside of "slice of life"). I hope this is how it continues now going forward with this series.

Update: The Season finally ended so it's time for my thoughts on it. Overall the season was really slow and slowly paced but it had enough to peak my interest and keep me watching it. I didn't like how the season ended in a cliffhanger though, I like to leave with a satisfying feeling instead of the show popping more questions (their other series F/Z didn't do that). Half of the show was slice of life while the other half was the interesting bit. Coming from F/Z and not liking SoL genre (unless its comedy) at all, the show made me cringe a lot in those SoL moments. Sure F/Z had some moments where they had some SoL but when they did it, they did it well and didn't concentrate too much on it.

Overall the show this season wasn't "IGN 10/10 EPC OMGZ AMAZING" but it was still really good (maybe to Visual Novel fans it might have been). I look forward to watching the rest of the series. I know they aren't going to change their stance on SoL (its like a cash cow and a lot of anime fans that like it) but the interesting bits are still interesting and make me want to watch the series.

I just want to make a quick review on this show because I thought that it was average and there were a bunch of flaws that mainly had to do with the second half of the anime. I'm just going to point the obvious.

Story:Story was interesting in the first few episodes but then we get a love triangle with amnesia in the mix. Other things to mention is that it paces from comedy to drama every so often. The biggest gripe I have is the second half since the drama bits start to feel like a spanish soap opera and not much payoff in the ... end of it either.

Characters: Too many character archetypes used but nevertheless they were enjoyable. They were all fun to watch when the anime went into comedy mode but not so when it went into drama mode. Koko's character starts off as eccentric but later matures which I find really boring. The only interesting thing about Tada Banri was his amnesia and Linda's character was just there to fill up the role of his amnesia love triangle, although her backstory was pretty darn good. The other supporting cast were mostly there to fill up the role of comedy relief and sometimes they would participate in the drama bits.

Art: Art was nothing special IMO. They didnt even tried to mix in other animation in there, just basic anime drawings.

I did enjoy this anime a lot right until Koko stopped being eccentric and mature into the "perfect" girlfriend (I swear in the ending they had these shots for guys to pretend they were banri when they were kissing and making up). Even in the second half it was still fun watching it for the comedy portion of this comedy romance since the jokes were well done some times.

Just finished watching the first season of kill la kill and now I feel like reviewing it.

How do I begin describing this anime, short summary of it: clothes vs humans.The anime is great overall but there were a few shortcomings that ill discuss shortly in a while.

Story: The story was alright. I can't really go into detail because it'll spoil some of the anime for you but I will tell you that it kept my interest. All I can say its that it starts out with a girl named Matoi Ryuuku goes on a journey to discover the secret of her father's ... death and finds out stuff along the way, which mainly have to do how clothes are alive and evil with an orginization behind it.

Art: Well this is the holy grail of this anime, the art. Even though they blatantly throw fanservice (hell everyone is naked so I don't think this even counts as fanservice), you quickly forget about that because they make the most spectacular fights scenes. They also play around with the animation, heck I think these guys just wanted to draw instead of anything else really.

Sound: Some of the music i liked and some of it I didnt like. I don't like the main theme but what I really liked was the baddie's main theme song. As for the conversations, it feels like they're yelling a lot most of the time but that didnt bother me since they mostly do it on confrontations and I'm used to anime being like that. Overall sound was good.

Character: Well this is where it gets disappointing for me. There were a lot of character archetypes for one thing and even though they gave almost everyone a back-story I still wound up only caring for only four people by the end of the anime.
And now for the controversial opinion: I really hated Makanshoku Matoi, Not only was it really obvious that she was going to be comic relief but she was there interrupting scene upon scene with her fast paced solo monologues. It was okay the first couple times but they kept pushing that all the way to the end of the whole season, often times breaking the mood and making fourth wall jokes.
As for our villains: One was a always happy/rage filled cute woman and the other was egotistical/I know the secrets of the universe bitch. The first one was fun but the second one was like an average villain.

Overall this was a really enjoyable anime to watch, animation top notch, story is good, characters are descent, and just a really fun ride. Now stay tuned for my spoiler section.

I just want to talk about the ending in this section because it left me on a bad note. The ending felt really rushed in my opinion. Its as if they really had no more time left and just threw it all together. It went from the current battle of the last episode to Nui just being absorbed by Mother to Ryuuku becoming like a super saiyin and fighting in space. They should've just made another episode to finish up the season nicely and of course they did hint this second season because of what that mother said about clothes invading earth in the near future.
