Kemono no Souja Erin

There is something almost Ghibli-esque about Kemono no Souja Erin, in its music choices and leisurely pace. It's all well-done, but is a seriously slow burn: I lost stamina towards the end, which is why my rating isn't as high as it might have been. That being said, this series is neat and well thought-out, simple to follow (too simple at times! It's clear this was meant for a younger audience) but no Juuni Kokuki, which is what I was hungering for at the end of my Twelve Kingdoms binge.
