Amazing, fantastic and tragic. Banana fish was the first anime that really had me full-blown sobbing. Ash Lynx is raised by an infamous gangster, Dino Golzine. When Ash grows up, he has his own gang and must stop Dino from catching hold of the Banana Fish, a mysterious drug that causes insanity. Ash is a victim of rape, sexual assault, child pornography and human trafficking and along the way of him searching for redemption he meets Eiji, an innocent assistant cameraman from Japan, him and Ash become extremely close and Eiji joins ash through his journey to stop Dino. People may argue over this being ... a BL or not but if you ask anyone who actually watches BL, we all can agree it is.

It's an absolute masterpiece of a story but I am a little bias, I mean I have a banana fish tattoo on me, but it truly is a beautiful story and I think anyone can truly love it if you watch it, even if you are not into BL.

Seaside Stranger is a gay manga between Mio, A high school student who recently lost his parents and spends his days by the sea and Shun, An openly gay novelist who has been living with his aunt since his parents disowned him. Mio and Shuns relationship moves fast so it goes by fast but we get more material of the couple together, they go through many hardships together and stick with each other through it all. The manga is NOT for minors as it is explicit. However, if you are over 18 I think it would be a great read for any BL lover. If ... you like BL, romance, slice of life, age gap, and explicit scenes this is a good one to read.

Seaside Stranger (also known as The Stranger by the Shore) is my first BL manga I have read, since the film only covers volume one and I genuinely enjoyed the film I decided to go out and buy volumes 2-6. As. The reason I gave it a 9 is that I wish we got more wholesome content but really it's a lot of Shun having a hard time with life. I just got into BL so I wasn't sure what I was getting into but it was genuinely excellent and I 100% would say read it.

The main character, Adachi gained the ability to read minds on his 30th birthday due to still being a virgin (it sounds weird, but it's actually good just give it a chance) and when he bumps into his coworker, Kurosawa, he hears all the things he has been thinking about him and his feelings for him are revealed, of course Kurosawa doesn't figure out about his powers till later in the anime. There's another side couple Tsuge and Minato, Tsuge is a romance author and Minato is a dancer looking to go pro but working part-time with a delivery company and that's how they meet. ... They bond over the fact that Tsuge took in a lost cat Minato had been previously seeing on the streets. Their romance does pick up but not much is overall shown so don't get too invested in the two, seeing a spinoff with these two would honestly be great to see kinda like Sasaki and Miyano did with Hirano and Kagiura.

Cherry Magic was overall pretty good, it's very wholesome and goofy at the same time since Adachi can hear alllllll of Kurosawa's thoughts and I mean all. In the beginning, the pacing is a bit slow, but things gradually pick up fast, especially in the last 2 episodes, things go by very, very fast, but honestly I think it was very well written. I would definitely recommend it overall especially if you are just getting into the romance/BL aspect of anime. It has a very happy ending where everyone is happy.

The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 was because I wish we got to see more of Tsuge and Minato and I wish it was just a little longer, 12 episodes are always nice, but the end went by so fast I wish we got to see more of their relationship after the ending.
