To be honest, when I first saw this anime, I never really expected much since I never knew about the hype surrounding it and how it was the grand prize anime everyone is waiting for to be adapted in anime form. Now I've finally finished it, what did I think about it?

Story- The story sets in a post-war era (Mostly steampunk WW1 era), where everyone is ready to adapt to society again and live in peace. We followed Violet Evergarden (our MC) as she starts to learn new things in life outside the war and experience emotions throughout her journey. On the surface, it's nothing ... new through the eyes of others. But the story is not narrative driven nor does it try to get you some twists and turns. But the execution of it's episodic nature is what keeps it from being average and make it into something that is engaging and moving.

Animation- If you're wondering about the animation, it's no surprised that KyoAni is known for it's quality of animation. Heck, some may say it's movie-quality. From the backgrounds to the character subtle movements, it really is a treat to see.

Characters- Violet started out as an emotionless person. While you feel pity for her being like this, you don't exactly relate to her in any aspect. That is true to a certain extent, but it doesn't mean you can feel sympathy or even empathy throughout her journey. Not only our main character is executed well, but our minor ones gets the same limelight too. The characters are the wheels that makes the story moving. Almost all of them have depth and care put into them that make them feel real. You're not only experience what they're going through but you also experience how Violet went through. Each and every minor character gives Violet's development and they all are important to the story.

Overall, it's a wonderful anime to experience through and through. It might not grab you instantly with it's slice of life at the first glance, but once you watch it all the way through, you won't regret spending your time on it. It's the type of anime that is best to watch by either binge-watching or 1 episode per day.

A surreal experience if I do say so myself...

Story- There's no narrative. Just a compilation of skits that may be hit or miss

Animation- One of the most creative animations I've seen in a long while, all of them comes in so much variety.

Characters- They're offensive, weird and funny as heck.

Enjoyment- If you know about anime or anything media, you'll get one heck of a laugh out louds

... Overall- Watch it at your own risk if you want to experience that is Pop Team Epic!

But in all seriousness, I think I'll make this clear. If you're just want a comedy anime that is all wacky, short and sweet, this will definitely fit your preference. It's the type of anime that is fill with meme's galore.

to my surprise, it's pretty average.

I seriously don't get why did it started as a love story in disguise. Sure Yuno is pretty interesting and her character development is well executed. I still think that she is just the one character that pretty much trying to use Yuki as her only lover to protect (Or trying to kill him in the process). She maybe the one that started the Yandere trope of a nuke and memes, but I just see her as a girl whose mind and heart just goes too far in a person than many people. Should I say that she's the antagonist ... of the whole series or the protagonist of the series? Either way, I can't tell

Yuki at first, I thought he's pretty cool. And I did feel sorry for him when the 'hunger games' started. But as the show went on, he's pretty much easily manipulative and a bigger jerk as I can imagine. I mean, geez, why would you trust Yuno over your friends? It's like eating bunch of Chalks over a Pizza.

Most of the supporting characters and diary holders are cool and interesting. Some good or bad. Reisuke is cute. Has a decent backstory and the character that I like the most. It's too bad that he had to died by Yuno (The one who killed his parents). Marco Ikusaba and Ai Mikami are pretty funny and cool. I did get the feels for them and it's touching but a bit bittersweet I guess. Yuki's friends are cool too, alot of them could've been the central thing that makes Yuki stand up for himself. But nope, the second half blew it and Yuki will forever known as the most stupidest character ever in my book. Even the ones that believe him till the very end like Hinata.

The ending was, pretty questionable. But you know, the previous world are dead anyway and the third world is normal now. But I was watching those 2 worlds and still left empty.

Overall, if you like edgy stuff and characters died randomly, this is for you. Just don't get too excited with the story. It's pretty unbalanced.

There's not alot to say in this short film. But It definitely looks beautiful and oh my, the feels!

Story wise, it's a bit straight foward, not too deep like the weird mememe type of short anime, but it's simple and definitely gives you the feels. The anmation is freaking nice, expected that it's short and they put alot of effort into it. Our main character is still simple and cute and it did make me feel bad like her. And the music, is so catchy, I could listen to this all day!

Overall, it's a short film with a simple but well executed story, great life ... lesson and the feels!

For an anime that makes me cry a little bit for the longest time, I would say it's a masterpiece. This anime shows you the sense of reality can hit you hard if you're in a long distance relationship. Things could get difficult for you as time went on. You may feel stress alot, you may think about your life is a mess sometimes, how could you be more matured about your life if you just keep thinking about the most caring person that is far away right now.

The story of course, is well, how should I say this, bittersweat and heartbreaking at the same ... time. You would get some emotional scenes in a way that is showed just how cruel the reality hits you.

The characters are just like an example of real life long distance relationships. You can feel their problems just keep growing and growing every second they make a move.

And the art is excellent.

But overall, if you really want to cry alot (well I actually only tear up a little bit after I finished watching it) and want to experience the joyful time into a heartwrenching sad but also conflicted times, this is an anime for you.

Wow... That was a most tearful ride I've ever been through. And I enjoy every moment of it.

So the story is pretty cliche for most people. I always felt this kinda thing will only work for an episode for a series like 22 minutes, but wow did they surprised me there in the middle of the movie.

The animation is excellent. Not gonna lie with that. It looks like a mixed between real life images and anime people walking around them. It works!

The characters are enjoyable. They maybe a bit typical average main characters but they all had some enjoyment to them. I even sometime ... shocked or cry in some scenes of what happens to one of them. Will they ever meet each other? Will they even know they are there or not? Those questions are floating over my head.

Overall, It's an anime film that uses the same formula that works! You may cry or shocked in some scenes but it was worth it.

It's ashame that I had to lower the score for this one. It would have been perfect if it only got more explanation so it could've been the greatest prequel of the final trilogy of Danganronpa.

The story is, well to sum it up is pretty laking, we only got a few explanation about the tragedy and that's kinda it. You might say that it's a slice of life anime that ends up very badly. Kinda reminded me of some other anime in a way.

The characters are of course still enjoyable and funny as always. We actually know a little bit more about Chisa since ... her umm... yea. She's still my favorite character in DR3 though.

Overall, it's an average anime for the people who want to know more about the tragedy but won't get any added explanation about the previous games.

I think the creators of Danganronpa had got a little bit more serious when they show us the red blood. Since this is the final Danganronpa to finish the trilogy, I don't mind it at all! This is awesome!

The story is still setuo as a killing game like battle royale, but with some added features and twist of changes that will really makes you feel stupid for not realizing it.

The characters are all great, although I wish they would get some more development and redemption. They all looked awesome!

Overall, this anime is worth watching if you are a danganronpa fan. Just make sure ... to play the games first before you watch it for the full experience.

Well... That was fun! I did want to make a joke about this finale but looking it back, I don't think this series finale deserved all the hate it has get for the last few days or so.

It's not 'perfect', but at least it's something that is enjoyable. We got our DR2 cast back in action for the last time and Hope and Despair still in between (Well technically Hope wins but it still felt emptied). I'm still questioning myself of what's the point of all of these DR3 characters since the writers killed almost all of them and only left 2 people left? ... And poor Munakata. I hate him from the very beginning and I loved him in the end. Not everyone in this series deserved to die for nothing like Bandai.

Overall, It's a finale everyone deserved after all the despair they've felt in every episode. It still has some flaws but it's still enjoyable to watch and a little bit teared up.
