It means

Do you have a liking for sockjobs/footjobs in Rx anime?
GodessOfH Feb 26, 7:53 AM
So yes?

Oh yeah. I was not expecting to meet IRL lol.

Lol "Enemy Attack (Paradox Level 3.7)" (Curse you school! It is such a habit to quote or italicize titles now) reminds me of a slower version of the Stranger Things Theme every time I listen. Minimalism and layering is honestly what I do simply because I lack the music theory knowledge and experience necessary to make more complex and complicated rhythms/arrangements. Sometimes I do try but it comes out like a mess. I do not know ANY music theory LuL.

So you like string orchestra eh? I suppose I do too, but ones with more harmony and unity. For instance, I think and hope you will enjoy the Shisha no Teikoku soundtrack by Yoshihiro Ike. Regrettably, I have only heard of one other OST from Ike thus far. The other one would be from Shingeki no Bahamut. Again, his work on the strings (for me) are the most powerful so far: Father and Child and Amira's Conflagration. Ike also has some genuine surprises like Sip of Passion. Like... wow! I was certainly not expecting a track like that when I was listening to the soundtrack (especially when I have not seen the anime lol!)

I see. Honestly, I am not active either; occasionally I will see a post from someone on a forum or a profile, and I reach out to those people. Amazingly enough, that is how I ended up becoming best friends with someone on here, and eventually meeting them IRL! Pretty crazy how that happens.

My favorite tracks from Katou are tracks like "Coupling Sequence" from Buddy Complex, and "Choosing Your Destiny" from Genei Wo Kakeru Taiyou, "But There Is Only Being Stubborn To Get Through" from Medaka Box Abnormal, and "Enemy Attack (Paradox Level8.9)" from Luck & Logic. Of course those are all of his battle/combat tracks... he really has a way with percussion! The way he also uses brass phrasing is mesmerizing.

Unfortunately, I was not able to watch his concert. I did check some of it out on his YouTube channel, though! It is so cool seeing that he has a "behind-the-scenes" process kind of going on for him.

I saw you have some interesting discussions with some people about music, MIDI, and the like. I have gained a love for Anime soundtracks and anime music composers since a few years ago. One composer I have been listening to frequently for a while now has been Tatsuya Katou.

Good Day! Randomly passing by.

I just made my Junketsu no Maria Anime Review. Here's the link to the review. Hope you check it out.

It's an anime I considered a hidden gem for the year 2015 in my opinion.

I value your feedback in my review. And if you find the review helpful and informative. I appreciate if you click the Helpful button to show your support.

That Free S3 soundtrack was great! I haven't posted anything about it yet because I want to listen more first. We have a couple more active members now, and one started a thread about classical influence on anime scores:

Okay Thanks

What type of soundtrack is it

Yeah, Tarja was fired right after that concert in 2005, it was a ridiculous embarrassing tabloid soap opera :P Both sides accused the other of being selfish, and it looks like Tuomas (founder/leader of Nightwish) was mad that Tarja chose an Argentino producer over him. That producer was the only one who jumped in to save her when a fan assaulted her on stage in Mexico in 2000 while the band just stood there, so no surprise she married him. After that they had a Swedish singer who wasn't classically trained and couldn't sing "operatic" style, she was good in her own way, but controversial. Then in 2012 they fired her and brought on Floor Jansen from After Forever, a longtime favorite of genre fans, and she can sing "operatic" but so far hasn't on the new material, which is really disappointing. Instead she uses the Doro Pesch "typical metal" style vocals.

I like a lot of Tarja's solo stuff, like this:

Not yet, but I will! :)

I like it! You've got a good atmosphere going with the choice of instruments and the bass/treble contrast, and I liked the way it would gradually get louder and then dramatically stop and leave only the keys, I always like that kind of thing. One old favorite example -
