If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to watch Ergo Proxy since it's not the type of anime you usually go for.

Also, judging by your favorites ı think you will really like Vandread, even though it's a mecha/space opera that you usualy don't watch. Don't be fooled by the cover art btw, which makes it look like some ecchi harem series, and even it's wrongly tagged as ecchi on MAL, it has strong female characters, likable male cast and some romance in-between.

I am glad you liked the short, there are some more episodes available in the same channel, unfortunately it got cancelled because of some copyright issues and they decided to continue it as comics.

I also reluctantly feel like recomending Witchblade since I haven't watched it myself but it has themes and a story that might be to your liking.

No need to apologize, and you are right in your assessments and observations. And I have to warn Terra e... has strong homosexual subtext, though no explicit gay relationships.

I also feel like recommending Seirei no Moribito seeing how you like strong female characters.

I am not sure which plot points you are talking about but in both Terra e and Ergo Proxy the Earth becomes inhabitable for different reasons, but it's a common scenario in sci-fi. Pale Cocoon is a short film with that scenario for example.

While the show has some glaring flaws especially in the second half I think you'll like it. Oh and heads up for the short scene of boobs at the start of first episode, interestingly there is no other nudity in the show and the TV version covers nudity with a bikini top.

honestly i never really watched enough of excel saga but i've been wanting to actually finish it entirely. I found once a review of Puni Puni Poemy pnline from some site and it was really negative and this was like years ago when i was still in college, and i used to read anime reviews and stuff. But after reading that review, i was thinking how bad it could really be? Then i sought it out and i'm like just from the opening alone. I was like "Good, god what is this train wreck?!" XD But yeah i remember liking it cause it's really out there but yeah. Anyways i was just surprised, i hadn't really seen many people who like Excel Saga or Puni Puni Poemy so you seemed pretty cool!

Hi! can I ask you what hasu-no-mi means? Is it your name? couse it's simmilar to the japanese name of the lotus flower (hasu no hana) =) I'm really curious about that hehe
