Watching - I'm watching it (if I'm watching more than 5 it's most likely just things I've put extremely high on my priority list that I don't want to forget about)
Plan to watch - As the title suggests. I don't usually prioritize this.
On Hold - I watched it but lost interest for the moment due to something else.
Dropped - I'll only drop something if it has the following: Irreversible manipulation (of any degree; unless it's being used to help the character improve themselves substantially), tragic characters (bonus points if they're cute or romantic/in a romance) being "squashed" constantly, if it's pointlessly and/or depressingly dramatic with no good story to make up for it (*cough* Kuzu no Honkai *cough*) or if a lovable character gets killed simply for story progression/good characters keep getting killed.
Completed - If it's like half way through then it was probably some VN-related anime where I decided "Yep, this is the good ending, fuck you, goodbye!" Aside from that, it means just what it says; completed.
As for ratings, simple note: I rate things really easily. I usually only rate them based off of personal preference, but if I really like an anime for its technical standpoint, then I'll give it a proper, critic-style rating, and maybe drop a review, too. Seriously; if you find that you have my exact same tastes, then maybe take these review seriously. Aside from that, you'll probably only leave disappointed.
11 - Toradora and probably a few other ones I'm gonna be watching sooner or later (i.e clannad, when i finish code geass maybe, same for gurren lagann, etc.)
10 - You should watch it. If you like ANY of the tags used to define the anime/manga/LN, then you should watch it. Also, the music, sound, voices, and art are perfect, or very good.
9 - Same as above, but with one or two lacking departments (For example; Kemono friends has really awkward animation, but the story is really good) Lowers the enjoyability a tiny bit.
8 - Same as above, but story-side quirks. Animation, voices, etc. those may all be perfect, but if I had a problem with the story, it gets an 8. As enjoyable as a 9.
7 - Quirks that effect the enjoyability directly. For example; if there's too much of something, then it's here. If I'm watching a romcom but the comedy suffocates the romance at times (Example: Nisekoi) then it gets a 7.
6 - It doesn't reach many of my expectations, but for some reason or another, I enjoyed it nonetheless.
5 - It's okay. It reaches some of my expectations but really fails some others. I wouldn't watch it again.
4 - It's bad. It might be good in some aspects, but as I said before, it's nothing like what I was looking for. I won't go rating objectively good animes bad because they aren't romcoms; if something's here, that means even a fan of the tags and whatnot wouldn't like it.
3 - It disappoints every tag used to describe it, and wouldn't really succeed in any other one. It's bad enough that I can't even call it a joke.
2 - It's genuine trash. If I gave this to a romcom, you can assume that it's filled with pointless melodrama and possibly deaths of amazing characters, with no "replacements" afterwards.
1 - Fuck off tier. It's so bad it could get cult status for being this bad. It's literally worse than the Emoji Movie. It not only doesn't fit any tag that exists (maybe aside from Parody, but that doesn't mean it's good) but it actually tried to be something but failed miserably. It takes itself seriously even though it doesn't even slightly deserve to. It's so bad that I'll probably end up crying for any rare well designed character(s) in the story, mostly because they had the misfortune of being placed in such a terribly shitty story. If I give something a 1, you should avoid it like the plague.
I would watch anything with a 7 and up again if I had the time and/or nothing else on my list I feel like watching, and I would debate on it with 6's.
All that aside, I'll recommend some Visual Novels I've played and will play Soon™
Fruits of Grisaia
Clannad <--- Haven't read nor watched it but I think we all know it's god tier
If my Heart had Wings
G-Senjou no Maou <--- God Tier
Now, let's get to what I hate in anime (and some in real life; actually, most)
I don't hate many things. I am 100% sure that some people love seeing what I hate. For some it's their fetish.
Not a fan.
Here's a list of things I actually despise, using plus symbols to depict how much I hate it.
+ = Dislike
++ = Strong Dislike
+++ = Hate
++++ = Despise
+++++ = Would either commit suicide or go into a fit of rage because I know of its existence
Mind Control +++
Irreversible Mind Control ++++
Characters using Mind Control to cause someone to commit self-destructive acts, or to betray former teammates +++++ (bonus points if made irreversible, and even more bonus points if the character was a love interest of one of the main characters)
NTR but rape +++++
When comedy suffocates the romance +
When it keeps on happening ++
Cute characters dying for no good reason +++
Good characters dying for no good reason +++
When their deaths are intentionally made excessively gruesome ++++
If they're both cute and good characters and their deaths are made excessively gruesome +++++
Shows that break the fourth wall to excuse their awfulness for brownie points with the viewers ++
Harem Anime ++
Harem Anime's where the MC is a worthless sack of perverted shit but for some reason everyone likes him +++
Harem Anime's where the MC actually creates a Harem rather than just sticking to one girl ++++
Piece of shit MC + Harem Anime + Actually making a Harem = +++++
When the Tsundere goes too fucking far +++
Annoying characters who act like this: "omg haha i am so quirky and random and funny hahahhhh h " +++
Pervy characters who get away with it every single time because "comedy" +
Same as above, but without the comedy. Just for no reason. +++
Guns in Anime that just look like jokes, and that make you wonder how the fuck anyone can use or carry it +
Making the "ebil bad guy" do something completely out of character and for no good reason just to make the viewers/readers hate him more ++
People who manipulate others into doing what they want ++
Same as above, but they make the person betray their teammates/people close to them ++++
Same as above, but they make the person do sexual stuff they would normally be vehemently against +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
That's my really long list of shit I hate, but let me say something: If any of the things listed above are done INCREDIBLY WELL (except for the last one and a few other ones which don't have a "done incredibly well" possibility) then I would like it. For example, if a cute character dies in an incredibly gruesome way, but it's done to show how messed up the "villain" is, then I would understand, though I'd be watching/reading it with a big ass scowl on my face.
Also, emphasis on that last one, if I hadn't put enough already. I SERIOUSLY hate that shit.
