Hello, my fellow anime lovers! Good to see you in my profile. here is some information about my anime\manga taste:
Though I watched some anime in my childhood ( Sailor Moon, Cosette), I have been continuously watching anime since 2016 to be exact. I also like reading manga.
My Rating System :
10-MASTERPIECE and closest to my soul
9-Close to masterpiece, absolute favorite
8-Great but has minor issues
7-Enjoyable with some drawbacks
6-Disappointments, still considered okay
<4- I hate this
The way I rate anime is a bit complicated. Basically, I look for 10 characteristics in anime and rate them from 1 to 3 (1=bad, 2=average, 3=good). The characteristics are: Synopsis (or idea of the story, as well as the beginning)
Story progression (how the idea is executed)
Conclusion (the general wrap-up)
Soundtrack (OSTs and opening\endings)
Characterization (character motivation and development)
Logic ( not having plot holes and such)
Final impression anime had on me
My "on hold" anime and manga means that I have read some volumes\ watched some episodes and stopped due to various reasons (still being published etc.), but will likely to pick up again in the future.
My "dropped" manga and anime means that it was not my cup of tea or I have already seen the anime\read the summary so I know the story. Dropped doesn't necessarily mean it is bad.
I think critically while rating anime\manga, however the enjoyment factor plays an important role in my ratings. So if the anime is bad, but I enjoy it, I don't give it less than 6. Similarly, if the anime is good, but I don't enjoy it, I'll give it not more than 6.
Same things go for the manga.
My favorite genres are:
Science-fiction (space, aliens, time-travel, psycho-abilities, dystopian society, post-apocalyptic)
Fantasy (new world, magic, supernatural, paranormal, demon-angel)
Adventure (road trip, treasure hunting, journey)
Psychological thriller ( a bit of horror, mind-fuck, mind-torture)
Yaoi (deal with it)
Fluffy romance-shoujo (makes me feel good)
Action-shounen (battle of wits)
My not-so-favorite genres that I still enjoy:
I usually hate :
Harem (what's the point?)
Ecchi (it is okay in comedic scenes, not okay in serious situation)
Here is my playlist for my favorite anime soundtracks. I will add new ones in future as soon as I watch new anime shows.
