Hello kind stranger! Before we excavate on the topic of who I am, I believe it's pivotal for you to know.
Know, not fear, that for a time may come when you insult my interests, I wouldn't scruple before hunting you down to the abyss of hell.
Having said that, I'm 1920 21, studying in college where I work my ass off learning and implementing software engineering stuff (programming and electronics). Don't ever call me lazy. Like most of the "mainstream" people in the world, I cherish passing my time on a form of visual entertainment, specifically anime and video games in my case. I can't envision the thought of me acting like a mature adult in following 5 decades but I do act all responsible and savvy about what I do when I'm near my family. :)
IIRC, I started watching anime around age 7 or so and like many people I've known on MAL, Dragon Ball was the shit back then for me as well. I descended deep into it around late 2013, that is exploring more genres, diving into the lore, discussing faults and glory alike of diverse anime on forums, heinously suggesting hideous yaoi to newbies no, I don't do that(at least not anymore) and gradually growing into a mildly introverted guy. Yes, I do believe the zestfulness of anime does that to you, not that I'm complaining. I just don't talk about anime among my rl friends.
Reading Manga avidly is not my forte. I started with Naruto just so I can avoid getting spoiled every time a moron felt like discussing recent manga stuff on an anime forum. I usually read works which are popular enough to get recommended to me multiple times by my friends (All You Need Is Kill) or ones which offer glorious fiction but lack an anime counterpart (The Breaker).
As for video games, I haven't stopped since the days of Chrono Trigger on SNES. My current favorite series is Fallout.
Favorite game = Skyrim. Notice what I'm implying? Bethesda FTW!
I believe they'll hire more voice actors and get rid of their clunky animation someday. Update 2016 March : Don't play video games anymore. They got boring somehow. I don't know what I was thinking. Life is Strange got me back into gaming. Really recommend you to check it out.
I guess that's about it. Now, feel free to initiate a conversation with me about any topic. Isn't that why we wander the forums? I'm a quite friendly kind. After all, friendliness is no weakness to anybody, though there's a difference in being friendly and being a doormat. So, if you want to bash me or my favorites without rhyme or reason, don't bother unless you know me relatively well.
I do accept random friend requests. Still, a light conversation beforehand is much appreciated! :)
- HOW I RATE MY ANIME/MANGA -
I'm not a critic. I rate stuff fundamentally on enjoyment.
~ Absolute masterpieces for me. i.e. These works possess my extolment the most and are very close to my heart.
These are why I still watch anime. ~ Pieces I loved and would definitely recommend.
However, something ticked me off. So, not good enough to get placed alongside my top favorites. ~ These are very enjoyable works. They seldom come with minor flaws which can be overlooked by me. ~ Decent. I tend to enjoy the stories but it doesn't leave any form of lasting impression. ~ Mediocre and/or fairly boring stuff falls here. There may be flaws regarding characters, art or just plain logic. ~ It was boring. That's it. ~ I seem to dislike this kind. I have my reasons for that. ~ This was just a little too absurd. Far from my taste. ~ I can't believe I watched/read this freaking horrible crap. Brainwashing just for this doesn't seem like a bad investment now.. ~ I'll make sure the creators of this abhorrent and nauseous piece of atrocity are wiped the hell out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this planet. If only they could have known what unholy retribution their little “good” anime/manga was about to bring down upon them, maybe they would have ceased their imagination; But they couldn't, they didn't, and now they'll have to pay the price with their worthless lives!

Someone said: It's pretty much as if someone took a survey for "what teenagers think is cool" and then threw all the answers randomly into an anime script. It's the epitome of gratuitous schlock for super-edgy adolescents trying to distance themselves from "baby anime" and mistakenly equating sex, violence, and self-serious storytelling with maturity and depth. When in actuality, Elfen Lied is a dry well of either one. It's just the typical formula harem setup of "damaged" girls rescued by hapless protagonist-kun, except with a superficial horror aesthetic filtered over it.
It's a thematically confused mess, simultaneously espousing empathy and forgiveness as absolute good, while humiliating and mutilating its heroines because grimdark. It's dramatically overwrought with cheap melodrama and sad violin music in lieu of actual dramatic structure or build up.
Elfen Lied is basically the anime equivalent of the creepy goth kid that lights neighborhood cats on fire to show everyone how hardcore he is.
