Hello, I'm just a manga reader who primarily likes shonen manga and birds, among other things. I'm currently trying to complete most of my already finished backlog by reading at least a few each month. As for how my ratings go, my standard definitions go like this:
10 - Flawless, or if there are flaws, then they are nowhere near significant enough to matter at all. My absolute favorite manga, and many of them have had a significant effect on me as a person.
9 - Close to Flawless, but with maybe one or two somewhat notable flaws, stuff I rate with a 9 I include with my favorite series, but there is a distinction between these and the stuff I have as a 10.
8 - Really good shit, with with a few notable flaws that hold it back from being at the top with the other stuff for me, but still stuff I would even say I love.
7 - Pretty good, but with a multiple important or relevant flaws, I'd usually start recommending stuff generally that's a 7 or up, but some of these series I believe have had some sort of effect on me.
6 - Good, but with definite notable and very significant flaws for me, I might recommend these in more niche situations, but not often.
5 - Basically neutral, I like the stuff from these manga as much as I dislike stuff from it.
4 - Certainly dislike more then like, but I believe that if the series worked on a flaw or two it could be higher. It might still be possible to enjoy reading something I like that's a 4, but it might not be likely.
3 - Definitely dislike, way more flaws then positive stuff I can say, and I might even have to sit for a while before I think of something I like.
2 - Fucking awful, too many flaws to list, series that make me grit my teeth just thinking about it, so I try to avoid thinking of them as much as I can.
1 - Do I need to explain how bad something needs to be for me to give a 1 lol.
I don't consider any of my scores final until after I've both completed and then reread something.
