Thank you for pointing out that oregairu season 2 is bad. As someone who felt that season 1 is so amazing, I had high hopes for season 2. However, I was disappointed with first the animation. The mc looked like some gangsters instead of a person who is lonely. Next of all, missing out from season one, season 2 put in lesser trains of thoughts on what the mc feel at the point. Furthermore, his thoughts are not as realistic as those in season 1. The ost were not suited for this anime as well ( did they even include ost? I think they didn't even include much ost through out the anime ) This show focus a lot lesser on the characters and more on the "drama" which is brought in at the very end. The previous few eps doesn't seem to affect what's happening next. Although season 2 was bad, let's look at the bright side that we can read LN and rewatch season 1 ;(

i cant ask for anything more than something that isnt a generic romcom/sol anime done decently, though, id argue that it answered more than ive asked.

I will look into those different styles but I believe that yours should consider the audience' way of preference more.

Way to say in your review of Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy,

"Inevitably the fans of the show (if they exist) will vote your review down, and as petty as it is to care, having a well reviewed... review ironically means a lot to me (I know don’t judge). "

but you fail in two things: Judgmental accusation (not all fans will vote this review down and be petty) and giving your life story in a review. For God's sake, that is just plain retarded. In fact, your life story even attributes to the reason why you do not like the anime. It is so stupid.

When reviewing, it is not for you; it is for the audience. Keep that in mind.

smh

Admittedly, it was a bit of a kneejerk reaction; it was mostly out of a desire to get something off my chest, but all the same, thank you for the praise.

I believe that Oregairu is deliberately overcomplicated because it is written from Hachiman's perspective, and this series is meant to be something of an autobiography but mixed in with some colourful drama and minor romance themes to spice things up. Of course, that's the same as saying that a movie is deliberately bad to make a point; it's not really a positive. I've read the light novels, but frankly, they just complicated things even more most of the time! Part of it is because of a decrease in quality fan-translation, part of it is because of my inability to understand, and part of it is because of the writer's inability to communicate. The thing is, Oregairu Zoku is known for having a slow pace, but it actually adapted 300,000-400,000 words worth of light novels, so it's actually quite rushed. To make up for this, Feel invested in gestures and facial expressions, which, while it is brilliant how they can perfectly abridge a long monologue with a simple expression or gesture, complicate things even further. The first 6 light novels and the latter 5 light novels are written very differently, or it might just be the fan translation. The first 6 novels are, in my opinion, way better paced. On the other hand, I commend the latter novels and season for delving into deeper themes and trying to communicate bigger themes and ideas, but that might have been a bit too ambitious.

Whoops, rambled a bit there. I do love what season two touches on, but I don't like the way it touches on it. That pretty much sums up how I feel about it. I treat Oregairu as a didactic piece more than anything; the more I learn about the characters, the more I end up learning about myself. It has changed my perspective on several things, and I'm glad I'm the person I am today because of what it caused me to question about myself.

If you've ever seen FLCL, you know how some anime choose to tell a simple plotline in the most complicated way. FLCL's reason was for the hell of it, and Oregairu's reason is to deepen Hachiman's character. However, that only really works as well when you read the novels. I dislike where Oregairu is right now at the end of the eleventh novel, because it is no longer relatable to me, and that is also allows me to criticise it a lot more harshly.

Well, I guess this is, in some way, a very long-winded way of saying, "I'm sorry, I might have actually been mistaken regarding my _own_ opinions. Or at the very least, I no longer agree with them after reading what you had to say." Kind of hard to say whether I should be apologising to you or thanking you, but I guess it's a bit of both. If you haven't seen Tatami Galaxy, I'm sure you'll like it a lot more than Oregairu.

Umm, sorry for taking up your time. Thank you for helping to enlighten me about my own opinions.
