Reading your Frieren review, I decided to give the show a quick skim through again. And it made me realize how barebones that show is. I was initially thinking the Frieren was akin to "Traditional Fantasy" or closer to a D&D related, but no, this is even somehow even more generic. Your review hit the nail on the head.

I love your Frieren review
I avoid speaking about the anime because I somehow always get attacked by people irl who can't comprehend that people have different tastes, but yeah I'm glad someone else said all this.
