I found it some month ago randomly, I would guess its from the movie considering the very high quality. Im not too sure though, I have not watched it in ages. I want to rewatch it soon (just got the BDs after I lost my old dvd set) and if I stumble across the scene I will let you know. My bet is on the movie though. The hairstyle and all seems fitting.

He's the producer who got this show greenlight in the first place. He's words actually carry clout and I didn't feel any uncertainly from his statement imo.

I wasn't intending to watch Sin for it's plot, if you know what I mean. Honestly was in one of my rare moods fro something brainless an trashy. This seemed to fit so I rolled with it. It's not kind of show you want waste brain power, hahaha.

Re:Creator is overall really solid, but I feel like it's execution could really better in some areas. I still feel like I'm most enjoying the show more for it's concept and less it's content. I still think it has a lot of potential, but I can definitely see it going south with just one turn.

I'm watching more than I usually do myself, but I suspect by the end of next week I'll reduce to my usual 5 shows per season. We will see though.

Aside from some sequels, none of the new shows has struck me with the "I mush watch the next episode as soon as possible!" bug, but their have been decently intriguing enough.

I don't disagree that hikkikomori do work out, we're all different and we have our own reasons to be shut-ins. I am not looking at this situation as how Japan portrays shut-ins, they tend to be a little extreme/harsh towards hikkikomori. On this topic of Re:ZERO however, I feel like the whole thing is a little too convenient for our protagonist here.

He's a shut-in - instant relatability for people of the same kind
He's jacked - cool strong person people of the same kind look up to irl
He's a gamer and somewhat otaku - instant relatability

He's basically having your typical otaku protagonist but jacked and self-aware. A little too perfect for an initial character set-up.

But to be honest, it's not that big of a deal (to me) since his combat prowess doesn't really help him that much in this issekai. That was really just my initial impression of the series.
