Hm, well I have nothing wrong with the formula for Stardust/Diamond if it's done well, and I've heard enough great things about Steel Ball Run that I'm interested. Is it something I could just read on its own, or would I have to work my way through parts 5 and 6 first as well for it to make sense?

Yeah, that was more of an emotional ramble than a review, but it was fun to write and it felt pretty cathartic.

Is Jojo part 7 similar to Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable, or does it get completely different by then? I loved Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, but once it switched to monster-of-the-week it just stopped doing anything for me.
