Rip the NRG meme-stream dream team. They'll always stay best friends in my heart.
Uhhh, how do I do this? Errr, my name is TheSojum (Well, it isn't, I'd feel bad for the poor sucker born with that name) and as opposed to a lot of people I see on this site, I actually enjoy anime. In order to make my profile look more attractive (because everybody else does it), I decided to add some stuff. These are my flimsy attempts at doing something with it.
I also stalk accounts which I have a high compatibility with, so if you have over 80% (COMPATIBILITY (affinity/2+50), not affinity) and a Reddit account with your list in its flair, I may potentially be looking at your list at this very moment.
If I have no rating anywhere it means that I either have no opinion on it and need to watch it again or I watched it too long ago to remember my thoughts, and if I remember them they probably won't reflect my opinion if I'd watch them now. An example would be Shakugan no Shana, which was among my first anime and I have fairly fond memories of it. And I don't really want to ruin them.
How I rate stuff. If feel the need to explain my opinions I'll add it in the tags.
10 - An anime which completely blew me away. It achieved most of what it set out to do (in my eyes of course, who am I to decide what it tried to do and how well it managed it) and must also have themes which interest me personally.
9 - At this point I already consider something amazing. If I rate show like this it means that I either really like the subject matter and the show but the anime didn't handle it as well as it could (cough, cough, Fate/Zero, or the reverse of what I just mentioned.
8 - Either an anime which I quite liked and am going to remember for a fairly long time or something which was extremely competent at what it did and therefore very enjoyable to watch.
7 - Fairly good. I enjoyed the show the whole way through, but wasn't too invested in what I saw.
6 - I thought that something was okay. It had a few good things going for it, but I probably won't end up watching it again.
5 - Bleh. Forgettable, bland, whatever the hell makes you think "meh". Either that or something that I didn't enjoy a lot, but wouldn't call bad quite yet. Alternatively, really high highs (usually at the beginning) and stupid low lows. Death Note and Kabaneri are pretty good examples, although Death Note's highs are probably 9/10 high while everything post Misa, especially after [i]you know what[i] two thirds through the show is abysmal. Kabaneri was an 8 for the first few episodes and then turned into a better Guilty Crown.
4 - At this point I already dislike something and honestly don't know why I'm doing that to myself. Not completely terrible and probably had some redeeming qualities, but overall I just didn't enjoy what I watched.
3 - Pretty bad. It hurt my brain even more than something I'd give a 4. I was probably pretty bored and wanted to set myself on fire a few times while watching this, which makes me wonder... Why on earth didn't I drop this?
2 - Terrible. Probably only a good thing or two and I could honestly have lived on without seeing this.
1 - Unsalvageable. Beyond saving. This is what happens when Satan eats a Burrito laden with piss-infused crystal meth and takes a massive, stinking, liquid, green dump which sounds like the crying souls of the damned.
Feel free to add me on Steam (Don't expect much from me, I'm a singleplayer guy, maybe some CS:GO, but I'm Silver 1 It's high noon and Overwatch has stolen my life) or tell me how terrible my taste is. It's not like I want anybody to say anything to me or something... Baka.
I feel ya. Misaka and Senjou are two of my favorite characters so that was kind of a win/win and a lose/lose at the same time but I'm glad one of the two one. The Railgun series is a pretty fun watch, especially Railgun S, so I would highly recommend watching it!
