I like the premise of this manga, it's not very original but it's a concept that isn't really touched on very frequently in the manga medium.
The idea of an old man down on his luck failing to kill himself and just going feral and finding a new love for life and it's beauty is enjoyable and it reminds me of a very toned down Suicide Island.
However, part way through the story we are introduced a pregnant female character and the twos relationship constantly shifts from paternal to romantic enough times that it ruins the already weak and distasteful character of the mc and

makes him into a bit of a lecherous codger.
The relationship, to me, just seems groomy in nature and off-putting and while they never do act on it they do get very close and feels like some self insert smut for the authors part which makes it harder for me to like the story.
I feel like anyone who takes issue with gross relationship dynamics will feel the same, regardless it's a decent read and I enjoyed the time I spent reading. Though if it had been any longer I know my opinion on that would shift pretty strongly.

I might sound like a hater but everything about this anime was subpar, the writing, the plot itself is pretty contrived and the motivations are pretty far fetched and at times stupid.
The characters themselves are very boring, and lame, and it's hard to find yourself caring about them whatsoever. It's just a very weak series, and for those of you who don't wish to read a heavily spoiler don't read any further, but it's a very annoying and I am going to complain about in 3... 2... 1...

This is pretty funny for an ecchi anime, I didn't expect to laugh so much watching it and all the girls are 10/10 and the ecchi is epic no cap.
This anime is perfect for coombrains and normies alike, the last few episodes kind of confused me though but in the end I managed to follow it a bit the short episodes can leave you sort of confused you just have to keep watching for it all to make sense but I think that's because I am not very smart rather than the animes fault itself.

I normally like this authors works, he's pretty passionate about food and manages to make what seem like really mediocre stories on paper work out but he kind of fumbled on this one.
If you have no prior knowledge of his other works, the character overlaps and their important are lost on you but the guest stars and in universe cross overs are barely touched on anyways so your left asking yourself what the point is regardless.

Everything is boring, it goes nowhere and meanders too long on trivial and inconsequential plot threads and it all seems pointless.

I really wish I had read this when I was in middle school I would have loved it, you can tell this dropped as light novel adaptions were starting to rear their head before 2016s Isekai apocalypse.
The characters are cute, tropey and feel like they were cut from a 90s ecchi OVA akin to mouse. The roles the girls play are bad ass or just moe blobs.
The action scene are littered with self aware service that kind of get out, and their casual scenes make them seem like ditzy moe comedic relief.

Short and sweet
Candy Flurry feels like Jungle Juice meets Boku no Hero Academia.
The main theme is having about your own outlooks and views on life and staying true to them while understanding conflicting view points without shutting them out, I'm over simplifying it by a bit and I'm very baked but idk it feels that way to me.
The arcs, if you can even call them that, are so fast paced they don't really qualify as arcs but they're enjoyable nonetheless.
I mainly read this to see how far the sweets themed powers would go and honestly I'm disappointed.

This was a really weird anime, and I like that in the current year the mc is pretty much what you would call an incel.
It's odd, but a nice watch and has a very short run time. The designs are really cool. I like them and the art style itself, the stories are pretty average nothing special but I don't regret watching. This manga is really short, I feel like it could have used maybe two more volumes to help with the plot. It seems to jump along pretty quickly and it takes aways from some of the kick that certain scenes should have behind them.
All things considered though, it's a good read, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Really nice art, all of the characters are likeable though some are pretty two dimensional.
The fan service is very unashamed and it is in a lot of scenes so if that's not your thing, it's not the manga for you.

TL;DR - Boomer soap opera for people into NTR, polygamy etc
I am going to touch on major spoilers here because in order to properly express the distaste I have for this story and really give an idea of how sloppily written it is I feel it is necessary do be warned.
Honestly this manga is all over the place, I don't even like cuckoldry and NTR adjacent stories they just aren't really my thing but I was high and decided to give this a go.
It's a half okay manga but here are my main gripes with it
The love triangle, is teased a lot

but never really goes beyond that. It's not a "will they won't the story" at all, in fact there were times where I genuinely questioned whether or not the secondary male lead was actually into the female lead despite them having a few pages of a flashback where he expresses his woes about not being able to be with her despite liking her.
He is very hands off and seems more like he's doing this for his friend, then his friend expresses disinterest in the whole ordeal because he expresses he can't handle the thought of sharing the girl he likes with him.
Shortly after this the secondary male lead, even says something that almost implies he was only doing this for his friend to try and force him and her together because he knows he's a very tepid dude with no balls to go for what he wants in life lol.
But then secondary male lead also does stuff like invite her to live with him and seems almost as if he's just ignoring his friend and when the main lead sees this he feels excluded and even loses interest.
The main male lead, after all of this, expresses his distaste in the ordeal as he begins to feel alienated and even spends time with a girl that spurs him into almost cutting off this entire thing and like maybe they would have been together by the end. Then, as he is about to grow a pair and leave since he clearly isn't happy, the female lead somehow starts to hang out and flirt with some Yakuza out of nowhere and it honestly makes the female lead seem very shallow and unpleasant. At this point in the story she is also doing all of this while knowing she is pregnant (with whos baby, I honestly don't know I had trouble following that much)
So after the yakuza she flirts around with decides to rape and kill her the main male lead steps in and gets his ass beat for her and it makes her seem even worse and worst of all because of all of this he changes his mind and decides not to stay with the previous woman that was teased and thinks staying with the female lead who is honestly, just played as whore (I'm not saying this to rant or anything, if your read the manga you will better understand what I mean) who is too much of a coward to pick a man to be with and has lucked out in meeting a bunch of cucks who are also too cowardly to have any self respect.
To top it all of with all of these poorly explored taboos, the author rushes like an entire volume or two of plot in the last chapter and it makes all of this wishy washy garbage just really, REALLY hard to like.
I assume this is the authors way of glimpsing into the taboos and not talked about parts of married life and relationships and blah blah blah blah social norms, you get the idea, but it was way stagnant in what it was trying to do and failed to actually explore much of anything. There's a lot that goes on, but it's so surface level and rushed you're stuck thinking "What honestly was the point of any of that?"

Ping Pond Dash is not your average sports manga, it doesn't really take it's premise to seriously it's very much a comedy first and sports manga second and it makes that somewhat known by the start but by the end it seems to jump the shark.
When we start off, the series is very cartoonish and we even have the Ping Pong Players have ping pong stands as a gag here and there but it's not super common at the start. The moves explained are grounded in reality though clearly a loose basis on real skills and techniques but as the series progresses the groundedness

quickly fades away especially by the last volume which is so ridiculous and so unrealistic it almost doesn't seem like the same manga you were reading at the start which is very meh for me.
When we start off this series, the MC does seem to be actually training has a lot to learn and train for and while he does have his super strength to deliver crazy shots he's shown that he also needs to learn technique and skill if he wants to ever become more than some second rate ping pong player to pursue his goal of beating his crush. (She will only love someone who can beat her in ping pong)
And this does ring true, throughout the series he is shown to actually need to learn more and is shown improving slowly but surely, but there comes a point and time where the series just seems to kick it into high gear and things start happening one after another without there actually being enough progress in his play to warrant moving the plot along and pitting him against players he should by all means lose against.
The resolution to the final few arcs is also very lackluster and leaves much to be desired. I didn't feel satisfied at all by it.
The love interest arc is awful, and just seems to be drama for the sake of it and in the span of like 20 chapters you go through that entire, rise, fall, climax, etc of what feels like a set up to make the mc take training more seriously.
Then, in no time at all, he beats the tourney and on top of that, this is where the series jumps the shark the worst in my opinion, the last few people he has to beat goes against all of the set up and initial plot by basically brute forcing his opponents in crazy ways and the author relies on the gag stands from before to just completely play out the rest of the series. All of the set up from the start just seems meaningless as we see the mc and some ape of a human slam ping pongs so hard at one another they break ribs.
I understand there is only so much you can do with a ping pong manga, but maybe dont set out to do things you dont have the skills to write satisfyingly.
It seems like the author exhausted all of these ideas to keep the story fresh in the tournaments half way through and recycled more and more to the point he just gave up. The last two volumes are just rushed in general, beyond the actual ping pong tourneys the actual plot with the main love interest, side characters etc. Are extremely rushed and wrapped up so sloppily that last volume is a rush through the final arch with breakneck spead then the last half is a "where are they now" type story.
The relationship between the two leads is also, just not there, it can be very frustrating at times to read about the MC gushing about someone who clearly has no interest in him and by the end she pretty much betrays him and then falls for him because he becomes based and ping pong pilled blah blah, it doesn't hit right. It is just very very mediocre.
I liked the manga alright, but it just seems like it was cancelled or the author was given a deadline and had to finish it in a certain time frame and it shows if this is the case.
The author also mentions that he never set out to write a serious sports manga etc etc in the afterword, idk, read like a bunch of excuses to me to justify why it randomly become such a parody of its former self.
I feel like my opinions on it may seem harsh, but it's not offensively bad or anything just very very average.
