The dramatic story and the wonderful art of Makoto Shinkai are in bouth animes. Even though in Ef he did only the backgrounds he still did a wonderfull job. The breathtaking views make bout animes very enjoyable. Even though the drama is wonderful made in bouth of them, the ending is not so dramatic for ef- a tale of memories. The characters suffer because of love and mature because of the same rason. The story is very good developed and the sad parts are so deep that it could make anybody cry. The OST is something you won't miss after you watch them. I especualy love ef opening of ef- a tale of memories I personaly love this 2 animes and I think that they are very similar: short but deep. They are stories that deserv to be rememberd.

In bouth:Gilgamsh and Red Garden the first episodes makes you think that you don't understand anything. The mistery and drama are bouth well made and the only thing that you are thinking is: God I want to see the next episodes fast so I can understand what's going on. The romance part is more intens in Gilgamesh but in bouth romance is just a second gener observ afther the others.(drama, horror, mistery etc.) The charachters are complex and they develop fast. They fight for their lifes, they don't have the time to tink if wath they do is the good thing or the bad thing, the only thing they understand is: FIGHT! Even though the 4 girls from red Garden and also the 2 brothers from gilgamsh don't actualy want to fight at the begining they end up doing it anyway. The grafic is also in a way similar: that dark, intens style. And the original drawing of the characthers who don't actualy look beautifull but in the end you came to see them beautifull anyway. The grafic in Red Garden is a bit more colorfull. The colors are somthimes verry strong. In conclusion I think that if you enjoyed one of the series you'll definately enjoy the other. There just way too similar .

So lets see. The only reason why I finde this 2 series verry similar is the main charachter and the historic theme of bouth animes. In Le Chevalier D'eon as well as in Rose of Versailles we have the main charachter who is stucked betwen 2 faces. The face of a woman or the face of a man. In Rose of versailles Oscar was raised as a man, but she is going to love as a woman. Determinated, courageous and proude as a man, but fragile like a woman. In Le Chevalier D'eon our main charachter, a male is possesed by his twin sisters soul who want's revenge. Traped between the 2 personalites he is confused and at a point doesn't even know who is the real him.In bouth series the confusion because of the 2 faces life apear at some point and finishes when the charachter is finaly accepting the person that he is. In Le chevalier D'on this crisis is a bit more stronger because he is actualy controled by his sisters spirit. If you watched one of this movie for his historical tipe you will surely like the other for the same reason. In bouth the action is situated in France.Corruption, kings failing and the thirst for power. You can finde them all in this animes.Conclusio: if you liked one of them you'll surely like the other.
