I created a MAL account long time ago, only to keep up the anime list I've watched, some manga and light novels.

I enjoyed the old locomotion channel back on my teens, after that I observed how using technology of its time we could get fantranslations of many different anime and manga during those times. After many years the existence of anime Forums helped to grow some kind of community (like animextremist.net, one of the biggest spanish anime forums).

Now after all these years, I'm glad that we're still here on MAL, but I'm sad about the fansub scene after crunchyroll took over everything. I'm sorry that some new anime fans and users rather enjoy some boring shit like Isekai Quartet instead of gving a proper critique. And some other people tabooing good manga like Ishuzoku Reviewers, yes... anime tastes are gone worse over the years and it's because people expect some impactful story after 5 seconds of current watching.

I wish most of the current MAL userbase can open their dumb eyes and understand instead of giving everything a 10 or 9 flavor of he month Kirito shounenshit or some Shingeki no Kyojin clone.
