Thanks for that wonderful list of manga. That'll keep me busy for a while. Minoru Furuya's work in particular is what I'm most interested in finding/reading, but for now my manga time is dedicated to catching up to the latest chapter/volume of Berserk.

Stephen won't you complete your manga list? I'd love to see what you've read so far, your anime list has given me a few suggestions already...

What do you do in the mountains?

Drawn & Quarterly always come out with some beautiful titles - The Pushman and Other Stories by Yoshihiro Tatsumi is one that comes to mind. I'll check out The Box Man and probably spend a small fortune on some new reads - I can't ever visit D&Q without ending up with a handful more titles than intended. Berlin by Jason Lutes is brilliant, as I find myself particularly drawn to historical fiction - I think it's a title that has very much flown under the radar.

Berserk is testing my patience, and I'm as patient as they come.

There's always Shintaro Kago, but now and then I think of his work as a bit crass (some would probably find that ironic). Perhaps that lends him a bit of potency. I can't quite put my finger on why I think this.

I can't say I really have my finger on the pulse of decent manga these days - I must thank you for giving me some food for thought, though.

Yo. I don't usually take random requests, but it looks like we enjoy similar stuff. I don't watch anime much nowadays, but let me know if you ever want manga or comic recs.

Oh ye that Koji Yamamura. He is great. I love him. Don't know the other person though. No need to apologize. Takashi Itou seems more like a psychologist than a director. There is no fourth wall in his clips, the viewer seems to be one with the film. Drill and Spacey is where that quality is more apparent in.

Hello, great review on A Feather Stare at the Dark. To me it felt a little too all-encompassing, like reading the first chapter (or however theyre called) of a religious book, leaning towards the more repugnant side, though. Do you think it's a good film?
