Recent CGI in animated series has seen improvements. I haven't watched it, but that League of Legends show gets praise for its CGI, which looks hand-drawn sometimes.

Why, are they a bad studio?

I have mixed feelings about the 80s VHD movie, but Bloodlust is Madhouse at their best. They were kings of their craft, I can't believe how beautiful that film is.

Exactly, it's suppost to be a horror, but absolutely nothing happens in the entire first episode, i don't necessarily expect it to go all splatter gore fest instantly, but i expect it to have some level of suspence

Also if you do plan to watch it, wait for the japanese version to come out
Currently only english dub is available, and i am not joking when i say this is the worst eng dub i have ever heard, special place of honor goes to the VA of Kimi, who aside from sounding completely devoid of emotion, why the heck does she sound like a 3 year old?? The kid's obviosly at least in 4th or 5th grade, making her sound like a Rugrat just comes off as weird

Yup, i do that too, in a way i guess it makes a little sense, if one person perceives a series one way it seems logical they might be confused as to what appealed or not to someone else

It's okay, I've been pretty late on replies lately myself. Such as this one XD

One of these days I'll have to watch the dub; my sibling who saw it dubbed said the same thing you did, and we did watch the Pyramid of Light movie together through a dubbed-only library copy. I do want to take the series seriously though, so that's why I watched it all subbed and will continue reading the rest of the manga before going on to Dark Side of Dimensions and really anything else related to the franchise.

I just have never seen Code Geass. I don't even have anything against it, guess I ought to give it a try sometime hahaha
