I wouldn't say I hate it. I don't hold much any feelings towards the franchise.

I explained just a day back to someone why I watched it all, this is copy-paste. Maybe you understand my reason a bit better.

But.. but, I am flawless.

It doesn't deserve in depth analysis, but you're right. I didn't feel like wasting time explaining the work of a pedophile.

honestly after completing it i don't even have the will to attempt to defend it on any level because of how much of a turd it was

as for "whats it's about," imo its a mess with tons of unnecessary shite, not that i'm sure what was necessary to the narrative in the first place because it barely fucking established one. so i guess in retrospect, the entire thing was pretty unnecessary

so yeah sorry if you wanted me to come up with a good defense or something but i really didnt like it, and i dont really want to think about it anymore bc its that bad, i was only initially interested because i thought it would go in a grander direction.

i dont like inuyashiki, ive seen the 10eps out so far and i think it fails to develop its ideas and struggles with its direction in later episodes, but i think completely writing it off as gore porn is questionable

"Goody two-shoes versus evil incarnate isn't what I'd call the epitome of psychological genre. Simply creating characters for the sake of their actions, so that the story would make some sense, is a terrible way of going about things."

"Evil incarnate" and then you quote 'Dexter' as being good. You clearly haven't watched Inuyashiki, which was the entire point I was trying to make. The "evil incarnate" guy is a sociopath just like Dexter, and he ends up saving more lives than he takes *spoiler alert!!!*. So is he ultimately a good character or an evil character as you paint him? He is very conflicted and the sociopathy makes the story interesting in the same way Dexter was interesting. Seriously, look at how even side characters and background characters develop and act in the face of what's going on. I won't sit here and argue, but I think you should give it another chance.

Yeah, I know how that feels, I've got told once that ranting towards people is not a good thing of a reviewer, still it is quite inevitable when people are overrating something that doesn't really deserve it. Specially with the latest episodes

I feel like you might be brain-dead or something. Watch all the episodes that are out so far of Inuyashiki. If you actually think it's a "0" out of 10 then you're clearly just some angsty loser who likes to play devil's advocate for the sake of playing devil's advocate. If you want things that don't happen because "THE STORY DEMANDS IT", go watch some slice of life anime where nothing interesting is supposed to happen. The genres of this are "Action, Sci-Fi, Psychological, Drama, Seinen". So yes, there are Sci-Fi and action elements, yes his family treats him like shit but maybe if you actually watched the anime you'd find out why, and also realize that the characters do all develop. The antagonist is also clearly some kind of mentally unstable sociopath. You see that he does value relationships with friends and family, and can sometimes form new relationships and change his actions to please the people he wants to be a part of his life, drastically altering the things he does. All in all it's generally a very interesting anime psychologically and it doesn't follow the standard over-used anime tropes that 99% of shit out there depends on.

Look at that majestic Rant Review of Inuyashiki. Good job man, you are pretty much on the point, I'm also wondering how the heck it has a 8 as a Score
