I am compelled to write a review as this is the first short story in years that literally made me tear up. This yaoi is no joke, it's raw, serious and mature and deals with important issues in a very interesting way.

Story: it's not perfect, the phone misunderstandings were a little strange but they managed to portray Yumi's relationship with his abusive boyfriend realistically, I could relate to Yumi a lot. Subjects such as domestic violence in gay relationships are not that often seen in yaoi, even less dealt with seriously so this was nice.
The story is short and nicely paced, what I liked most read more

From the master Jiro Taniguchi himself comes the greatest and most gripping high altitude stories you will find.
I love Taniguchi's work, the detailed background, soft flow of the reading, the calm moments. His work is poetic and outstandingly beautiful.

For summit of the Gods, it was the first time I was reading a story of his that had a faster pace, lots of action and suspense. And as always he does it brilliantly.

Story: What I really liked was how their relationship slowly built up, from strangers who have to sit at the library fron desk for a few weeks, to friends, to lovers. It's extremely realistic and adorable.
Sometimes the pacing was a bit tough to follow but what's no to love with a relationship between two boys, polar opposites, yet they both like reading?

Characters: the absolute selling point, they are funny, realistic, relatable... The two mains really shine, as they show the complexities of young read more

Piece (Manga) add (All reviews)
I borrowed Piece at my local library thinking "Hey, this looks nice" and I was completely taken aback by it.

Story: Our main girl Suga Mizuho reunites with some high school classmates at the funeral of one of their very discrete classmates: Haruka Origuchi. No one really knew anything about her, and Origuchi's mom seems to believe that her daughter and Suga were friends in High School even though that was not the case.
She has a favor to ask, she would like to find Origuchi's boyfriend, because apprently Origuchi was pregnant but got an abortion in High School.
Reluctant at first, Suga and two other classmates agree read more
