For me, Boku Girl was the right story at the right time. It was a perfect fit for me because, in the time leading up to me stumbling across this manga, I myself had begun questioning my sexuality among other topics that made me susceptible to themes in this manga. but as I have reread the manga and with a more critical eye, I see and recognize the flaws especially in the pacing and the development of the characters. like for example in the latter half of the manga, I felt very little in terms of character development, especially with the male love interest.
