Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Attack on Titan!!!

I would totally recommend March Comes in Like a Lion btw! The main protagonist of 3-gatsu - Rei has left his adopted family (his parents and siblings were killed in a car crash) and he's struggling to look after himself and even eat properly, but luckily he meets and befriends these three sisters who give him a lot of moral support and cook delicious meals for him. You hear a lot of his internal philosophical monologues throughout, which are really moving and thought provoking. Shogi (Japanese Chess) is a major part of the story as Rei is a professional Shogi player but is still at high school and has to juggle them both, together with a strange 'relationship' with his crazy femme fatale adopted sister! There's some good comedy and LOL moments and it kinda reminds me of a novel - the way it's divided into chapters. The characters are original, memorable and well developed throughout. The dubbed VA that plays Rei is an Asian-American and inhabits the role so well. It's different from a lot of mainstream and shonen anime but it's the best thing I've seen in a while - definitely a 10/10 from my perspective! I loved it so much I was tempted to watch season 2 subbed but changed my mind as I have a lot on my PTW list and when the dub finally arrives - wow, it will be like my Birthday or something :D

Nice Oregairu review. Your words really struck a chord with me as I fell head over heels for the show for the exact same reason. And if you'd like, you could check out my review of it once you're done watching the second season.
