Thanks for your condolences. My oldest daughter 24 and my youngest turns 22 on the 28th of this month. My youngdst is still living with me. My oldest lives with her husband and mg granddaughter across town. I totally get the expensive living. I wish i could still live at home and let someone else pay the rent. Its not good here either.

Where in Europe do you live? I've been to a hand full of countries there. Spain, Germany, Italy, Sicily, Turkey, Rom/Vatican city, & Irland. Also there is an island off the coast of Spain some where I've been to. But I cant remember the country right now.

Ive been a HUGE Star Wars fan since I was 4 years old. Basically when the movie came out..So I have tons of memorabilia from that. Plus other things like Video games such as Metroid and Zelda, Final Fantasy 7 Original and remake, What ever I get into i usually end up with something or a lot of somethings. I just purchased a figure of Asuna where shes in her SAO gear sitting on the steps with her picknick basket. I absolutely love it!!!! I have a basket full of 5 Rem and Ram figures and a 50'75 cm Canvas of the photo that im using as my photo here on this site. REM is my Favorite anime character right now. But I love the interaction of the sisters together and Rams sarcastic remarks. One of these days I'll have a museum for a house full of all the things I love.

My wife use to tell me I was jist a big a 10 yr old boy. I told her yep. I refuse to grow up until I'm ready to die. She always got a kick out of it and said she wouldn't have it any other way.

I still play games on portables like the Nintendo switch.. PS4 and PC. Ill never stop doing things I enjoy until I physically can't do them any more.

My 1st anime was Akira. Followed by Ghost in the shell, Robotech(original), Sailor Moon(original) Appleseed, Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Machine, and quite a few more i cant remember at the moment. My 1st roommate in the military was a military brat and spent 6 years in Japan so he had a huge collection on VHS. We spent hours and hours watching all the great anime from the 80s early 90s.

Thanks for the reccomendations and the welcome. Yes the complexity has reriously dropped, were not too old, the kids these days just aren't as smart as we are or as we were when we were their ages. I see that with all the whining and crying in the SAO Forums. The simple things kids can't comprehend these days is really sad. If I was this confused as a teen/young adult I would have stopped watching anime almost immediately. Its good to know I'm not the only one who refuses to grow up, and can still enjoy good animation.

I have a huge backlog of things my coworkers and friends have reccomended I think most are on your reccomendations are already on my list to things to catch up on. My youngest daughter is watching Fruit Basket, she was just telling me about it yesterday. Ill add it to the list.

I dont read many LN's or Manga. I just dont have time for it lately. I do love to sit down with a great novel or LN when I can just too many things on my plate, like learning Japanese, 3D Printing among other hobbies. With my limited time its hard to cram it all in. Currently craming in Re:ZERO and SAO is about all I have time for but they are both worth it to me.

Im not sure why I bothered with the message board its frustrating for me. Kids crying about stupid things like "well the LN had this in it" or "the LN did that Way better" "They did this in the LN and should have put that in" "they totally screwed up this season its nothing like the LN" Or my personal favorite stupid statement "That was anime only, it doesnt count"

Idiots!!!!! Baka! Baka! Baka!

kids these days dont seem to be able to seperate the anime from the LN/Manga that they already read. Its the same for movies too.

But the guy I work with that got me to watch Re:ZERO isn't caught up in season 2 yet and I have noone to talk to about it. I think that's why I searched for a board. This section of the board is great though. Its the SAO threads where the children show their stupidity. I guess Re'ZERO is too complex for their female minds.

Anyway enough complaing from me. Im still trying to sort out how this site works so I can better find the threads and info I want. Il eventually get around to listing all of my viewed anime. I have a hole from the late late 90's to about 2 years ago to sift through for great or good stuff. I seemed to not watch much anime while I was married, but I lost my wife of 25 years to epilepsy among other issues, a little over a year ago, and found myself turning back to anime for something a little different than movies for a change. Not that I fell out of interest with 2 daughters in the house, usually watched things that my wife found interesting as well. Anime wasnt her thing. I think i may have to go back and watch more of the 80's/90's stuff between the new stuff so I dont feel quite so dumb for having watched most of the new stuff. Ill keep watching new stuff as well besides there are a few gems here and there.

Thanks again for the reccomendations and the welcome. And of course the message.

Hi, thanks for accepting :) I like talking with people from the same fandom (in this case, furuba) so that's why I asked.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about shoujo but those are some of my faves. I also liked Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon as a kid. Oh, is that so? I don't remember a lot from Skip Beat but if it gets a better conclusion in the manga I guess I'll give it a try. I liked the main character but not as much for the guys. I do plan on reading Pandora Hearts (though it's a shounen), I heard many good things about the manga.
I'm a big fan of Furuba manga btw. It's the only one I read more than once, it's sooo good. And I enjoy this adaptation so much more than the first one... The voice actors they picked, especially Kyo's are incredible. Sad this season's going to be ending soon, but it's good to know there's going to be a full adaptation. The beach arc was the thing I was waiting for for years.

Do you like horror? I do but Shiki was a really bad one to me. Still, I'll make sure to check out your recommendations, Juuni seems nice.

Karneval was cool, though I basically watched it to fangirl over Kamiya lol. Sadly he doesn't voice in a lot of stuff these days. I basically only get to hear him as Levi. I'm pretty sure I watched everything he's in at this point~ Do you have any favorite voice actors?
Hahaha, I knew I heard of these somewhere, are they all BL?
Wait, did you never watch Given? That's the best BL by far!! The couples in it are goals, Hatsukoi could never (I didn't watch a lot of BL lol). It's seriously really good, not just for the romance.
I also read a manga called Hidamari ga Kikoeru, it's really good but hasn't been translated in a while. I recommend reading it if you haven't yet.
What's your favorite ships? One of my favorites is Tododeku (though I cry over Shouto's lack of screentime, I literally started reading the manga for him). I like straight ships too though, like Kousei and Kaori, Hori and Miyamura, Kyo and Tohru etc. I enjoy Romance, especially in manga.

Oh... I actually rated quite poorly most of these lol. I loved Madoka though because it did a twist to the concept. Never heard of Mai-Hime but it sounds interesting.

I wonder if I have anything to recommend to you XD You watched over double my amount. If you haven't watched Given, then I definitely recommend that. I checked our affinity so I'm just gonna recommend stuff from what we don't share :)
Do you like comedy? Asobi Asobase made me laugh out loud every episode, literally no other anime comedy has done that for me. Really recommend it.
Kaguya-sama is my favorite romantic comedy, it's also one of my favorite ongoing manga. You can't not ship the main couple, they're adorable! It's an interesting concept of two tsunderes who like each other. The other characters are also very well written and new characters are introduced all the time.
I also really recommend Natsume Yuujinchou and Monogatari series. Both are strong throughout the entire run and are some of my favorites.

It's nice meeting you too, thanks for taking the time to recommend all of these to me~

Thanks for calling me out on it. I'd thought about it and decided it wasn't much of a spoiler, but you persuaded me otherwise. Also, I'd much rather end up having a friend than an enemy! I shouldn't have posted it in the first place since I was on the fence about it. I don't think you'll have any luck with Akito-kun, but to be fair I'd had that spoiled for me and I didn't think that ruined the story.

I've put those recommendations on my plan to watch list...hopefully I'll actually get around to them in the near future. If you keep reminding me on occasion, they'll stay near the top of the list in my mind! I actually started once in the past Akatsuki no Yona and think I will like it; I just wasn't in the mood for that type of story at the moment.

I recommend 3-gatsu no Lion. It's the best anime I've ever seen (maybe good enough to get you to actually give something a 10!) I also think you would probably like Koi wa Ameagari no You ni. It's definitely not your everyday romance, but for a difficult premise it does a good job of not being disturbing.

What is COVID-19 like in Croatia? It's frankly an utter mess here in the states, though at least it isn't too bad where I live.

AmuletHeart24 Jun 15, 5:45 PM
Of course!! I'm glad we're friends xD

I wander a lot on MAL, so I might've seen your profile on a forum page and just gotten really interested... I get really excited when I see someone who has seen all 3 seasons of Shugo Chara since it's not all that popular O_o (I love Utau, she's so pretty!!) I love magical girls too (ESPECIALLY the ones with transformations- that's why I loved Shugo Chara so much)!! But like you said, a lot of them are just fillers, which gets really annoying, but I still watch anyway.

Thank you for the recommendations!! I don't think I've ever watched a dark magical girl show, but both Madoka Magica and Mai-Hime sound really good!! I've heard a lot about sailor moon (the most popular of them all >.<), but just never gotten around to watching it... I think I'll start watching it sooner or later :/

I love romantic comedies the most, probably. I just need a mix of something funny with something sweet and beautiful. I see you're also a romance freak, so maybe you have some really good recommendations??

Anyhow, it was nice to meet you too :D

Samo da ti kažem da mi se druga sezona Fruits Basketa za sada dosta više sviđa od prve.

Found Ghost Hunt on Funimation and it's not dubbed thankfully ! I hate dubbed animes ;)
I'll start watching it, looks completely like my kind of things !
Thanks again !

Hi !
Thanks for the message ! I didn’t think it was long, it’s my first on here and it was very friendly of you to send all these recommendations! Thanks so much !
I did find you commenting on an episode of Fruits Basket new adaptation I think, I saw « sailor » something and promptly asked you to befriend me as sailor moon is my first love in anime, I’ve been watching it and then reading it since I was 12 and I’m now 37 and I have a sleeve tattoo of all the sailors (except Chibiusa as she’s always annoyed me :P). But I digress ....
I’ve loved Furuba for a long time too, read all the mangas so already spoiled but absolutely digging the new anime as it’s closer to the books which I adore !
I’ll definitely try Ghost Hunt and Akatsuki no Yona then, sounds like my kind of things. I don’t read mangas much though anymore as it’s too big a budget so I mainly watch anime as I have a Funimation and Crunchyroll subscriptions.
I loved Skip Beat too :)
Fushigi Yuugi is the cheesiest thing ever but I still love it, I quite like Isekai anime, there’s a few very good recent ones. These days I’m watching the Rising of the Shield Hero and I’m quite liking it even though it’s mainly action and no romance. My other fav at the moment is Kaguya-same, I bet you’ve heard of it as you seem very knowledgable! It’s just hilarious !
Anyway, thanks again and nice to meet you on there !!

Dap!
Strukla May 29, 3:30 PM
Falja falja!!!! :D
Tsarko May 26, 5:12 PM
E da te podsetim samo, Fafner Beyond Part BluRay izlazi danas tako da bi trebalo da očekuh prevod u narednim danima.
